Question about Averatec 3200 Notebook

3200 laptop loops at start up but does not start all the way

I turned it on yesterday (DEC 29) battery only and it cycled out and turned off so I started it once more but this time it came to the windows logo where it plays that famous music and just went to black. I then plugged it into A/C thinking the battery was the problem but all it does now is loop from start up to the black and white page offering different start-ups (i.e. safe mode...etc) I pick one and push enter and it goes to the windows screen then to a blue screen with white text but so quickly it can't be read. And sad to report I believe that blue screen is telling me what happened...then all over again time after time. Will a new battery remedy this? Or has my hard drive gone south? any help will be very much appreciated...

I tried all the options after F8 but none disabled the automatic re-boot.

Press F8 while booting and select the option to disable automatic reboot so that you may document the blue screen error msg. Have you made any changes pior to this? Installed updates, changed BIOS settings, etc?

I was attempting to perform a system restore. I accidently powered off my laptop and now it continously restarts and shuts down in a continous loop. I am using Windows 8 and have a Aspire E1 522-5603...

take the battery out after that then press the power button for 5 secs. and then wait like 10 secs. then put your battery back in and restart see if it still loops it should fix it.

Yes it seems llike a dead battery. Have you tried removing the battery and putting it back into the laptop?

Acer Aspire 3680 In a Loop

What I wanted you to clarify was the message that you noted as "something to the effect of 'Beginning of physical damage'", but you only saw it the one time I see on rereading the post, so never mind.

Have you tried doing a factory restore using the recovery media? Try pressing Alt + F10 on booting to get to eRecovery Management.

Battery problem...

Sounds like an hardware problem. The battery charger does not depend from the operative system, and is working even when the computer is turned off and connected to power socket. Leave your laptop off and connected to power overnight. If the battery charge is still zero then you probably need to get a new or tested-second-hand battery.

hope this helps

It won't turn on!

Flashing green battery means it is in suspend mode. Pushing the power button should bring it out of suspension, however, one of the reasons I deactivate both suspend and hibernate mode is because the seldom work right. I would disconnect your A/C power cord and remove your battery from the laptop. After about 30 seconds plug them back in and your commuter should start again. Let us know how things go.
