Have you installed drivers for the sound card yet? Is there a speaker icon down by the clock on right of taskbar? It's very rare for a soundcard to work on a fresh install of Windows without loading the drivers.

Hi there;
You recently replaced your hard drive and now your sound does not work?
If you computer boots I would guess your hard drive is connected correctly.
I would check your sound component connections.
Could be inside the case at the sound card or as simple as you unplugged the transformer to the speakers. Also check your sound software to make sure it's not muted.
Hope this helps

Hp diagnostic log 03f0

Sounds like an issue with the Hard Drive. Try replacing the hard drive with a known working one. If that doesn't fix the issue then that means the hard drive controller is bad and the motherboard would need to be replaced.

Hard drive replaced. But does not recognize hard drive. Old hard drive but back But does not recognize hard drive.

open the CPU and check whether it properly connected (both the wires sata cable and power cable)
then check in BIOS. is it detected if it is then change the boot device priority..
if its not detected then try to swap the wires with optical drive..
still not then change the HDD

Sounds like your drives aren't connected properly. Make sure they're plugged in and the jumpers are in their appropriate positions.

After im on it for about five minutes it makes a loud roaring noise and freezes. The noise doesnt stop until i turn it off.

Sounds like a bad hard drive or a bad CPU Fan. Try a different hard drive in the machine, and see if the machine boots up without making that sound and locking up. If it does then that means the original hard drive is bad.

If its not the hard drive then, replace the CPU fan and see if the sound goes away, if it does then you know the CPU Fan is bad.

Hard drive

Sounds like a bad hard drive. Back up all your data.
If your drive is making clicking sounds .. do it quickly or you will loose everything when the drive stop working altogether.

Psu replacement

The PS should have the model number and power rating on a label.
Check that and measure the dimensions of the PS.
Enter the model number in a Google search and you should be able to find a replacement.
Then you can shop around and get a PS that has the correct dimensions to fit your case.

Laptop wont start. Told hard drive has crashed.

Sounds like you need to replace your hard drive. First you need to figure out what laptop model you have, then look up the specifications on the manufacturer's website to see if you have an "IDE" hard drive, or a "SATA" hard drive. Purchase a replacement hard drive, and install it into the computer. Then reinstall windows xp and you're good to go again.

PLEASE HELP !! I have a HITACHI Deskstar harddisk (T7K500 HDT725032VLAT80) and it has a clicking sound. The window won't detect this device at all. I got it out of the external enclosure and get a new...

If your drive is clicking and isn't detected by the operating system, your hard drive is VERY dead. There are no user replaceable part inside a hard drive. The only thing you might do is get the very same hard drive and swap the controller card from a known good hard drive to the bad hard drive but the chances of this working are VERY slim. I would resign myself to the fact that the data on that drive is very truly gone.
