impellor.... plus where is the pump located shall i take the back off it and have a poke around lol.....
not only check filter but when filter out check for foreign objects fouling pump impellor. (bra wires are the favourite) if pump impellor not visible, then put onto drain and listen for a low humming noise in vicinity of pump. this confirms that pump is powered but jammed. all you can do after that is to check continuity of pump and check there is power to pump when on drain - assumes you have a multimeter

Our AW1001W is 2 yrs and 2 mths old. After a few weeks of strange intermittent banging during a spin cycle (like a cricket ball bouncing round the drum), it has ceased spinning at all. So I tried to turn the drum from the inside and met some resistance. So with a little force I managed toturn it and felt the belt come off the back and the drum consequently become very easy to spin. So I removed the top and the back panels and the first thing that struck me was what appeared to be spattering of black and brown dried drip marks all over the bottom half of the back of the drum / panel, clearloy coming from the bottom of what I assume to be a main bearing (where the belt wheel centre goes into the drum). I got the belt back on to the wheel and ran a spin cycle. It worked, but as it got up to full speed I could see the belt wheel kick out by a few mm's ever time the bang happened, which at full speed was quite often and increased in frequency as the spin cycle went on. At this point I cancelled the spin cycle and tried to play with the wheel. I noticed that with my hands at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock there was no forwards or backwards play, however with my hands at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock I noticed that 6 could be pushed in slightly as 12 would slightly pull away from the drum. not by much but quite noticeable given that there was no movement at all with 9 and 3. I'm no mechanic, but would I be right in concluding that the bearing has gone? and if so is this common? And is it easy / cheap to fix (not by myself - wouldn't know where to start!!) ANy help would be massively appreciated as our baby's wearing smelly clothes now!! Andy.

I have a Tricity Bendix AW1000 it finnished a cycle, but still had a lot of soapy water in it. When I tried to run a rinse, it didn't do anything. It would sit for 10 minutes before end lit up?
