There may be a way - try clicking on review first and then click on delete if this does not work then there is something wrong that is probably a returnable issue. Good Luck!

I have a new Olympus SP-800UZ and the internal memory is full. I want to delete pictures without have to do each picture manually. How do I do that?

Assuming you have a computer with Windows installed.

1. Connect the camera to thew computer with the cameras USB cable.
The computer shopuld recognize the camera and a removable USB device or
SP800 folder should be visible.
2. Open the Windows Explorer and open that new removable USB folder or SP800
folder and (multi-) select the pictures from the internal memory and delete them.

I connected the cable and managed to transfer one picture from my Nikon S8100 to the computer. The computer tells me that there are no more pictures to transfer, but I cannot find them!!! Where should I...

When you connect your Nikon camera to your computer some program is automatically loading up and then transferring your pictures over. If you haven't deleted the picture from your camera then reconnect your camera back to your computer. Follow the same steps you did the first time but watch the screen carefully. When the program tells you it is copying the picture over it should have a window open to the directory that it is using for the transfer. You should be able to get to that directory in your computer to work with your picture.

If the program deleted the picture from your camera then just shoot another picture so that you have something to work with. Most programs use some kind of a naming convention when it is saving your pictures, Usually it is a name made up of the date you are transferring the picture on as well as a number. The program should open a window before the transfer is completed to allow you to use your own naming convention.

How can i download pictures from my A1000 w/o the sotware?

There are several ways. Download and install google's picasa. When you connect your camera click the Import tab and follow the appropriate steps to download the photos. It does take time to learn and you may make a mistake so be sure to keep the option not to delete the photos from the camera after download.

2- The safest way is without any software. Connect the camera and go to Start/My Computer where your camera will appear next to C: (or D:) as E: or some such volume. Click on folders there until you see your photos. Copy the enclosing folder and paste it somewhere like the desktop or My Pictures. I usually prefer to save duplicate copies one on an external hard disk.

3- Same as 2, but also use www.irfanview.com to sort and display your photos.

4. Same as 1., 2. and 3. but instead of a USB cord connecting the camera use an memory card reader. That saves your camera battery for one. It also allows you to delete photos in the trash of the memory card (not the one n the desktop).

Pictures delete from the camera when I download on the camera.

On the side of your memory card there is a little switch that says LOCK. put it in the lock position, then the computer will not be allowed to delete the pictures from the camera. Usually when you download the pictures to your computer, there is a little pop-up window that asks if you want to keep or delete the originals. That is referring to the originals on your camera.

Disk says not enough space on disk to finilize?

Each time you execute finalization, the disc remaining space will decrease by approximately 13 MB. If you don’t have enough room, it won’t allow you to finalize the disc.
To finalize this disc, you have to delete some pictures to make enough space. But don’t worry, before you delete those pictures, you can save them to your computer.
Find out the CDs came with your camera, refer your manual page 51 - 61 to install ‘PIXELA PTP Manager’ , connect your camera and computer with USB cable, and copy some pictures to your computer, then delete the pictures on camera side. If still not enough room, copy more and delete more. make it enough to do the finalization.

How do I delete pictures that I have downloaded from my camera to my computer. I am a first time user.

Without knowing what kind of camera you have, this will be sort of a generic explanation, and I'm going to assume your computer runs on Windows.

You can delete pictures from the camera one at a time using the camera's controls - the exact procedure varies from one camera to the next, and you'll need to consult the manual. But it's easier and faster to delete them while the camera (or its memory card) is connected to the computer.

If you connect the camera to the computer with a USB cable, the camera will appear like a portable drive. Same goes if you take the camera's memory card out and plug it into a reader on the computer. Just open Windows Explorer or My Computer and look for the new drive. It will probably be drive E or higher. Then you can delete files the same way you delete any other files from a hard drive.

Uploading pictures back onto my camera

Set the camera to MTP instead of PTP in the settings menu on the camera. This will allow it to operate as a USB device instead of only interacting with the Nikon software.

Specifically...

Hit menu on the camera, go to the setup menu, and select USB and then make sure it's set to "Mass Storage" and not "PTP". Then connect the camera.

Hope this helps.
