After running self clean the Hi or up arrow button doesn't work
I push on/off button for the stoves top elements push low (down arrow) element comes on. I push the up arrow and it will not increase the heat. The up arrow doesn't work. If you push the Hi or up arrow button after on/off button it will not turn element on. It doesn't beep or anything. The Hi or up arrow doesn't work for all four elements.

the element is easy to change. just slide out the stove from the wall. take off the rear cover and just unplug or unscrew the leads from that element and replace. first make sure you unplug the stove it's self from the wall. it does have 220 volt and will hurt you.
There is a bottom hidden element that is the main element used for baking and cleaning. If its not heating then the element has gone bad and needs replacing. If you have a volt meter then you can confirm this by checking the voltage between the two terminals sticking out of the rear of the range. There should be 240vac across the two. If you have that then you need a new element if you don't then you need a new control board.
Hi I have a whirlpool gold range mdl GJSP 84902 and had replaced the bottom hidden element after finding out it wasn't getting any heat. So replacement took a little figuring out. it ws easy after a removal of screws and pulling out the whole oven casing out fron the front. Anyhow I still don't get enough heat generate from the bottom element, what other cause are there. checked fuses wiring all is connected HELP ME PLEASE !!!!! thank you Paul
You may want to re-seat the right two cooking elements, in case there is poor electrical contact. When you have them removed, clean the contacts with denatured 91% alcohol and a Q-tip. The removal procedure follows. First, unplug the range. LIFT–UP PORCELAIN COOKTOP To lift: When cool, grasp the cooktop front
edge. Gently lift up until the two support rods
snap into place. To lower: Hold the cooktop front edge and
carefully push back on each support rod to
release. Then lower the top into place. COIL ELEMENTS
➢When an element is on, it will cycle on
and off to maintain the heat setting.
➢Coil elements are self-cleaning. Do not
immerse in water. To remove: When cool, raise element. Carefully pull out and away from receptacle. Check them for damage. They do wear out. To replace: Insert element terminals into receptacle. Guide the element into place. Press down on the outer edge of element until it sits level on drip bowl. COIL ELEMENT SURFACE ➢ On Canadian models, the two front elements will not operate during self-clean.To prevent the risk of electric shock or fire, never line drip bowls with aluminum foil.
If that does work, you may have a faulty control panel. In that case, call Maytag at the number below.

Sometimes in self clean it can burn out the element. Need to check the element with an ohm meter and see if it shows resistance. If it shows open then the element is bad. If it shows resistance then the element is ok. Next see if you are getting 220 volts to the element when in bake mode. If you are not getting 220 volts then the control is bad.
