Ours did this when the motor brushes wore out. It's a relatively easy fix. The symptom would be that the machine appears to cycle normally, goes through all the normal functions, but just never rotates. I think these brushes wear out faster because of the reversing action. you can access the motor from the rear panel, and there are 2 bolts which hold it in place. Remove the belt, take the bolts out, unplug the connections and pull the motor towards you. Locate the retainers for the brushes and pull them out and check to see if they are worn down.
This is not something that is easy to fix. The front load machines use a DC motor. If the drum works when it washes and it does not spin, the issue could be the motor controller.
