Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, this would all depend on how "sharp an image" is the original "picture file". If it were copied/capture from the Internet, then the resolution would be relatively low not unless otherwise specified. The same circumstances from some mobile phones. If however, the picture file is from a digital camera and/or as long as the resolution is relatively high, then there would be no reason for the image to be grainy or low quality.

Some file managers create a thumbnail image of the real image but on a lower resolution. The reason of which is to be able to display the images faster. However, said images when viewed alone would be on the real resolution level.

Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy New Year.

I have cyberlink youcam, but now every time i want to take a picture on something else on my computer, the cyberlink sign pops up, what do i do?

take any image file and right click on it, then go to "properties"
The window that comes up will have "opens with..<cyberlink>" or something similar.

Simply click the Change button and set it to windows image viewer or paint. This way you'll be able to open files of that extension with the new default program you've chosen instead of cyberlink's image manager

How to remove an MSN Worm

I have noticed lately that MSN Worms are on the rise, most of my contact list has had one since last year, I Nearly got one, it usualy starts with something like "Is this you on pic?" and then they would have a link, now clicking this link and downloading the zip/exe is okay, now as you see its not a picture file is it? its an Exe, which means it runs a program..But if you remember they said, "is this you on pic?" So , it isnt a picture file...Dont open it! Now here is how you get rid of it,

1. If you haven’t, disconnect from the internet
2. Press CTRL+ALT+DEL (Run Task Manager) and shut down the service rndsvc
3. Goto C:\windows\system32\ and delete the filename rndsvc.exe
4.To make sure you dont get this again, never ever double click on any executable file (*.exe) received from unknown sources, especially those says that it’s an image file but then turned up as executables.

I hope this has helped you, if you need more help on this email me at key-kun@hotmail.com

Monitor only works on safe mode, why?

Vga drivers might have been corrupted and need to be updated.

Video drivers are applications that enhance your on-screen display. The drivers make your text and images sharper and clearer. Some devices and applications may corrupt display drivers. You can, however, repair the drivers in Safe Mode. Safe Mode is an area of Windows that only allows a limited number of applications to run, thereby making it ideal for repairing and restoring your display driver. Click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel." Double-click "System and Maintenance" and click "Device Manager" to launch the hardware management console if you are using Windows Vista or 7. For Windows XP users, right-click "My Computer" on the desktop and click "Manage." Click "Device Manager" to launch the hardware management console. Click the "Display Adapter" to expand it. Make a note of the video driver that contains a question or exclamation mark. A question or exclamation mark means the video driver is either damaged or missing. Close the Device Manager. Write down your computer's model and serial number. The location of the serial number varies with different computer models but can generally be found on the front or back of your computer. Go to your computer manufacturer's website and locate the "Support and Drivers" section. Locate "Driver Downloads." When prompted, type your serial or model number to locate the drivers compatible with your computer. Click "Download" next to the video driver compatible with your computer. Select "Save" and download the video driver installation file on your desktop. Restart your computer and press "F8" repeatedly before Windows reloads to launch the Advanced Options Menu. Select "Safe Mode" and press "Enter" to launch Windows Safe Mode. Double-click the video driver you installed and click "Run" to install the driver on your computer. When the installation completes, go back to the Device Manager and click "Display Adapters." Make sure that your video driver no longer contains a question or exclamation mark. If the driver still contains a question or exclamation mark, right-click it and click "Update driver." This launches the launch the driver installation wizard. Insert your Windows installation CD and click "Install software automatically (Recommended)" and then click "Next." The install wizard installs the video driver automatically. Restart your computer normally when the installation completes. Hope this helps.

How to download in my pc?

1.

When you download a file-such as a program, update, game, video, or document-you transfer it from the Internet to your computer.

2.

When you download files using Download Manager, they're automatically saved in the Downloads folder. This folder is usually located on the drive where Windows is installed (for example, C:\users\your name\downloads). For information about managing your downloads and changing where they are saved, see Using Download Manager in Internet Explorer

If you're saving a file, you can choose to save it to a particular folder. If you don't select a folder yourself, some files are automatically saved to a folder associated with the file type. For example, if you right-click a picture on a web page, and then choose Save Picture As, it will be saved to the Pictures folder.

3.
Open Download Manager

  1. ?id=microsoft.windows.resources.shellexecutetopiciconClick to open Internet Explorer.

  2. Click the Tools button getcontent.aspx?assetid=448ef968-d58a-43a2-b0cc-f396f4024f2c&documentset=en-us&prod=win700&market=us , and then click View downloads.

Right-click a file, and then click this

To do this

Delete File

Acer aspire x1700 esettings management

If you made your factory restore dvd's using acer e-recovery management, and it completed successfully, you should be good. The only way to be sure is to do this:

back up an image of your pc to an external hard drive, AND make a backup of your important files. Try to restore the pc using the discs you made. If it works, restore your files. If it doesn't work, restore the image you backed up or call Acer for restore disks (free if in warranty)
