You will probably need to reconfigure whatever software you are using for the video call to pull audio from the Onboard Mic from the Cam. If it is not configured to pull the audio from that Mic on the Cam, it may be looking for audio somewhere else. This is sadly an issue with a lot of Video Chat software applications.
Try going to my web cam, then when you see yourself go to File and then preferences then go to calling and devices and make sure that your mic shows as your mic, if that does not work then try your actual computer sound settings. I had some similar problems as well

Go to Control Panel and Click on Sounds, Click
on Audio, then Click on the Microphone. Then Click on the drop
down and select Camera Microphone.
Click OK and it should work.

do a cam/mic test in the audio/video settings in the tools tab in yahoo. Then you need to minimise the yahoo screen and right click on the cam icon in the taskbar and check that the mic and cam are enabled and that it is set to allow other programes to take control of this device
When i try to talk to talk to anyone on msn with the VX6000 webcam they cannot hear me for screeches, echos and distorted voice, i have tried everything on support site and got nowhere. When i test in voice playback it does the same. Any help appreciated!
