Question about Apple iPhone 3G
Were you able to fix your white blank screen?
The picture you saw was actually the "Screen Capture" that was taken when you pressed the "Home + Power" button giving you a copy of what you had on the screen. A faster way to fix the white screen is to just hold the Home button + Power button + Volume Up. that would restore the iphone on its booting stage. The pineapple logo was the software used when it was unlocked before using pawninage tool. other than that i think you restored the iphone using the default firmware from itunes and thats why its locked back to its original state.

Ok this has happened to me twice once last week, but I forgot how I fixed it, and today, I just came back from the store listening to some music, come back home hit the home button to go to main menu so i can check my e-mail. One thing out of the ordinary is that I press home and it went to Contacts, even worse I couldn't get out of the contacts, I could only double tap home button and pause my music or go to ipod, from there I tried to go to main screen, which once again kept taking me back to contacts. Eventually frustrated I hit power and home at same time, white screen of death, although I still had music playing as i never paused it, kept trying to hold power to make option to turn off phone pop up but nothing, all I could do was look at the white screen or hit power button turning off the screen,
also a side note when I was in the white screen if i held power and home button it would make the shutter sound as it if it were taking a picture, upon hooking it up to my pc i find it actually did take a picture saved in .png format although could not be opened with any other program besides windows picture viewer.. while also creating a new folder in the DCIM titled "999APPLE". It took several pictures, but only one actually has anything in it.

anyways I tried to reset it but Itunes gave me an error that it failed, tried a secnd time and it worked fine. My phone is a Jailbroken Iphone 3G FW 2.2.1, I was scared because when I tried to restore the first time it booted up with the modified boot logo(pineapple instead of apple) and left a weird picture on my phone with some russian text, believing I was out of luck since I had voided my warranty and fearing they would uncover the boot logo I just tried it again, this time however It booted up with the apple logo instead of the pineapple then proceded to restore my phone and used my backup to restore all my contacts, music, etc... Don't know if this is a solution but Just try restoring your phone a few times and hope it works. Also my phone is no longer Jailbroken with the restore, which I already knew would happen.

You will need to have the phone replaced. It happened to me once while I was typing an e-mail. I was in the middle of a long letter, I looked away to talk to a friend and then when I looked down it was a white screen. Tried rebooting, resetting, reconnecting to iTunes, nothing worked. Had to take it back to Best Buy where I had service plan and they gave me a new phone. Not sure if they would have done that without a plan, because they really do not know what they are doing there (I know I work there) but they like to pretend so I know none of them can fix it. Maybe try an official AT&T store or Apple store.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
