I plugged my new tom tom HOME into my computer per the instructions and the pop up window will not appear. I recon that means my PC does not see the tomtom.

Hi, Sorry but I need to ask another question . When you plug in to your PC do you here a "ding dong" sound like you should when you plug in a USB device ?
If you don't hear this then you have either a faulty lead , faulty tomtom , or faulty USB on your PC .

Hi, Do you mean your tomtom won't switch on ? .... or ... do you mean your PC doesn't "see" your tomtom ?

The screen its not working, i push, hit, and nothing happen, seems like the screen isnt working

Try performing a "soft reset" by taking a paperclip or an other small object and push the button in a small hole on the bottom of your GPS. The more recent TomTom GPS devices don't have a separate reset button. If your device doesn't have one you have to disconnect your device from a charger of USB-cable and you hav to keep pressing the power button until you hear the TomTom startup sound (drums), then release the button and the device will reboot. No settings get lost by this procedure.

Go 730 green light on but nothing happens

Have you tried resetting, either by
(a) holding down the Power ON/OFF button .... a long time ... until the unit shuts down and starts up again, or
(b) pushing a pin into the RESET hole)
after the TomTom has been fully charged ?

Nothing happens when i plug my usb cable into my computer with the tomtom ONE

start tomtom home if it does not start automaticlly when you turn on your tomtom and connect it to your computer..if you dont have tomtom home, you can get it HERE.

if its still not connecting try another usb cable although im not sure in that one disconnects from the home dock on the 910

( i assume your using the home dock because thats the only way a 910 will hook up to a computer)

When i turn it on it freezes.

Hello, I own a TomTom also. I have listed the procedures from TomTom Home and hope this will work. First try a soft reset (Reset button is located at the bottom of the TomTom device next to where the DC plug plugs in). Make sure your batteries are fully charged up or the USB cord is plugged in.

If your device is not starting up properly, follow the steps below:
  1. Soft reset your device. *

  2. If your device still does not start up, then reinstall the TomTom application using HOME
If you have backed up your TomTom to your computer, then you can reinstall the TomTom application from your backed up data. *    In rare cases, your TomTom device may not start correctly or may stop responding. If this happens, try resetting your device. A reset does not delete any data.

CANNOT GET THE TOMTOM TO COME ON IN THE TRUCK.

you may have a faulty device as you have tryed it with and without the cord, or may have blown the fuse inside the device if you've plugged it in to too high a voltage, check the voltages match for your truck and device. If they do you should think about a new battery. Or else if it is new return it to dealer. The only other cause is you have corrupted programme inside, this can be fixed by USB in to your computer and visiting www.tomtom.com form all the downloads you require. If your computer cannot see the tomtom and any SDcard aswell, when connected, the device is at fault.

PC does not recognise TomTom

Dont use a HUB, connect it directly to the PC.

Reset the unit by pushing a bent paperclip or pin into the hole on the bottom marked 'reset' turn it back on, plug it in & charge it via USB overnight or as long as you can in the car, make sure the led on the top is green, tap the bottom right of the screen & check the battery symbol on the unit says charging underneath.

If this doesn't help.
contact them about the problem...
