As long as you didn't try to turn it on yet AND it was NOT on when it fell in to the water there is a chance it will still work.
Pull the battery, put it in a big container and fill\cover it with rice. The rice will absorb the moisture. Leave it in there for at least 5 days straight and then try it. But just in case have a fire extinguisher ready.
This works with cell phones, maybe you'll get lucky.
If this is a brand new macbook and you have not been familiar with them before....be aware that the whole touchpad is clickable by pressing it down. You can also go into your settings, under the mouse applet and choose to enable the tap to click rather than pressing the button.
If your phone has bluetooth on it switch it on. Then under system preferences switch on your macbook go to hardware and then click on the bluetooth control panel and if it is not on switch it on and at the bottom of the control panel click on the "Show Bluetooth status in the menu bar". Close down the window and go to your menu bar and go to the bluetooth menu. Then scroll down to "Browse Device...." and your phone should show up on under Bluetooth devices. Double clcik on your phone and then find where your phones are on the phone and then you can select the pictures and then click on "Get..." and you will be asked where to download them onto your macbook. Hope this helps.
I would get some type of cloth and rub and rub and rub the connectors until they are golden again and give it a try. Most people will probably tell you to get a new one, but since I like to tinker, that's what I'd be doing with mine.
