Balance totally moved to the right has no sound in the speaker. Bass, midrange, and treble also have no effect. The speaker has already been checked and is fully operational..

Optimus was sold only by Radio Shack. It would be a special order. Get the catalog # from the rear of the receiver (31-XXXX)

Could be several causes. Bad connection near the stand-by power transformer or the transformer itself could be open. The main Micro could be bad. This is a job best left to a servicer. Optimus was sold only by Radio Shack, they still do repairs.

Hi, Bennie.
I am going to take a try at helping you out with this today.
First, make sure that the DVD player works.
Attach it up to another tv, and make sure you get both audio and video.
If you do, then we go on to the next part.
If not, then the player has the problem.
Let's say that it works on the other tv, ok?
So, if that is the case, then it may be something as simple as having the input settings wrong on your receiver.
Sometimes, this can be from static discharge, other times bad cables.
Also, make sure that tape monitor 2 is not turned on, if it is you won't get anything out of your receiver unless the sound is run through the tape 2 jacks.
There also may be a burnt out fuse, or connection inside your old receiver that has gone and bit the dust.
After all, the receiver model you list was originally made in 1999, so it is well past life expectancy for it.
I know this may or may not be what you were wanting to know, but I tried.
I hope that it does help you in some way, and good luck.
