My kirby vacuum stopped working while I was vacuuming. There doesn't seem to be a reason for it.
Sometimes after years of use the power cord can break internally where you won't see it. Look for damage or twists in the cord. With the vacuum turned on wiggle these areas between your hands and see if it tries to run. If so replace the cord. If not the switch may be bad or the motor needs to be serviced. Good luck.
