I had a similar problem with my Whirlpool model 6ED25DQFW side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice maker/water dispenser. Water was slowly pooling under the refrigerator under the freezer section. The defrost drain pipe was not blocked, the condenser fan was running, the drip pan was not leaking. The source of the leak was found to be the icemaker solenoid block plastic body which had a pinhole leak. To fix requires either plastic welding, or replacement of the solenoid block plastic body. To access the solenoid block firstly requires removal of the cardboard cover, located at the lower rear of the refrigerator.
For the icemaker problem, first check that water is reaching the unit. (Check the water line. Sometimes it will ice up.) Next check that the unit is getting power (it is an add-on for this fridge).
it looks like it pops off.go to this site, put your model number in and look at dispenser front.use a thin screw driver or a putty knife, the face part pops off then the part behind it has screws in it.copy and paste this and look up your machine.http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Whirlpool-Parts/Refrigerator-Parts/Model-ED25CQXHW02/1198/0165000?pathTaken=&prst=0&shdMod=ED25CQXHW02
Should have started to fill soon after freezer section reaches between 0° to 2° F (-18° to -17° C), ice maker fills with water and begins operating. You will have a complete harvest of ice approximately every three hours. The above was in the user manual and only answers when the process begins. There is a thermostat embedded inside the ice maker that tells the water control valve for ice maker to open for approx. 7.5 seconds. Because this model has a freezer below the left fresh food section light switch has an interlock that completes 120VAC to the ice maker once the fresh food section door is closed. Defective fuse, door switch or ice maker will make operation impossible until the problem is located. Please let me know if you need assistance beyond the above here. Thanks, Sea Breeze
1) There is a separate valve feeding the ice maker. It is triggered when ice maker t-stat closes and unit dumps ice. If the ice level sensing rod is down and there is no water in unit, it may have a bad stat or motor(usually unrepairable, need to replace unit) If turning, you may need a new fill valve.
2) If there is water inside the unit on bottom, you probably have a stopped up drainpan. Could be from debris, or may be frozen. located at bottom of freezer coil. If frozen, use a hair dryer to thaw(NO POINTY OBJECTS!!!) If not, inspect positioning of drainline.
COULD BE DO TO ICE BUILD UP. IT MAY NEED A NEW GASKET OR FLAPPER DOOR. THIS NEEDS TO BE TIGHT.! . TO FIX THE LEAK TILL YOU GET THE PART USE A PLASTIC BAG AND A SOCK(CLEAN?) AND FROM THE INSIDE PLUG THE ICE DOOR HOLE ..
If the water tank in the fresh food section is leaking then you will need to replace it. the freezing in the fresh food section is due to the damper door not closing when it should. at the top left of the fresh food side there is a door that controls how much cold air it gets from the Freezer side. This door on your GE is controled by a motorized door witch is controled by a controlboard witch is reading sensors in your freezer and freshfood section for tempretures.
In short your freezing problem could be any of these:
temp sensor, Motorized damper door or control board. I would check the Motorized damper door first.
Had the same problem. As long as the ice machine is still moving, meaning its working but just no water is getting to the ice tray. order part #2205762 valve, solenoid and change it out. It is not hard to do if you pay attention to how you take the old one out.

Back 2. How do I order parts?
* Parts can be ordered through an Authorized Frigidaire Parts Distributor. An Authorized Parts Distributor can be found by using our Parts Distributor Locator. Enter your zip code on the Parts Distributor Locator to get a listing of distributors in your area.
Back 3. Noises / Sounds.
* Dripping sound. During the defrost, water draining from the freezer section will drip into the pan by your compressor in the back and bottom of your refrigerator. * Air rushing or blowing. There is a fan in the freezer section and in some models in the back and bottom of your refrigerator to circulate air. This is a normal sound. * Louder when starting or coming on. Compressor operates at a higher pressure when first starting and noise should disappear as refrigerator continues to run and balance pressures. * Popping, crackling, or sizzling about once a day. If your model is self-defrosting, the defrost system utilizes a heater to remove the ice and frost from the freezer coil. During this period you will hear some expansion noises as heat is applied to the coil and you may experience some sizzling sounds as the melting water drips on the heater. * Running water. If you have an ice maker equipped model, the ice maker will call for water as the old batch of cubes is ejected and the ice maker starts to make more cubes. This will last for about 10 seconds and is normal. * Vibrating or rattling noises. The following can be sources of these noises: 1. Dish vibrating on shelf - move dish slightly. 2. Floor is uneven or cannot adequately support refrigerator. Use shims or extra support. 3. Items on top of refrigerator are rocking. Place a pad under the item or remove. 4. Refrigerator is not level. Adjust leveling legs or rollers as needed. Add shims in the back if floor is not level from front to back. 5. Refrigerator is touching wall or cabinets. See your owner's manual for space requirements. * Snapping or clicking sound. If your refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker the water valve will snap on when the ice maker is calling for water. This is normal. In some cases you may not have the water connected to your ice maker and the sound will be greater. In these cases, pull the wire signal arm (bail arm) on the ice maker in the up position to turn your ice maker off until the water supply line is installed.
Back 4. Taste and odors.
* Ice or food has a bad taste or odor. Ice and uncovered foods can pick up odors or taste from strong smelling foods in the refrigerator or freezer. Cover foods tightly and discard old ice. * Ice tastes like plastic. Plastic water lines will give off a taste when first used. It takes one or two containers of ice for plastic to stop leeching. Discard initial container of ice after installation.
Back 5. Ice maker - not making any ice.
* Freezer may not be cold enough. Temperature must be 5 F. or colder to work properly. * Water supply valve may be blocked or restricted. Supply valve must have a 1/4" opening for water to fully supply ice maker. Many self-piercing valves do not have this big of an opening. Replace water supply valve with one that has a 1/4" opening. * Water supply valve may not be open. Find and open the supply valve. * Wire signal arm on ice maker is in the up position. This position shuts off the ice maker. Pull wire arm (bail arm) down to start ice making.
