Rock salt is also used to make ice cream. It is not actually used in the ice cream mixture; rather, it is used to melt the ice surrounding the can holding the ice cream, causing the ice to melt at a lower temperature, thus lowering the temperature of the ice bath and quickening the freezing process.

Possibly the water control valve is leaking when shut off, and water constantly drips into the ice tray fill tube. When this happens, the fill tube becomes clogged with ice, and the ice tray does not fill. The ice tray will cycle often, because there is no water in the tray, but will remain empty. If this is the case, the water control valve at the bottom rear of the refrigerator will have to be replaced.

My Icemaker won't keep the ice once it makes it

What make and model of ice maker do you have?
Is the unit making ice? If so, about how much?

Most commercial bin type ice makers are not engineered to maintain the ice once it drops into the bin. Older ice is intended to melt and the water should drain out of the bin as new ice is deposited on top.

It may be that you are consuming ice at a rate greater than the unit is designed to produce ice, or that the unit is not set to the highest ice production rate (if adjustable).

Alternatively, if the inside of the bin is hot (warm) you may have another problem with the unit (e.g., gasket leak). Was the unit previously working? If so, are you aware of any events that took place just prior to the change?

Some units have a defrost or a cleaning mode, which will actually generate heat inside the unit. Make sure the unit is set to the correct mode.

Machine only makes ice cubes on a few coils

Without knowing the type of ice maker you have there could be several causes for this. Low charge, metering device problem, make up water constant fill or to warm. Need more info to help.

We have one child but he dont love me anymore, why?

:)

Could be the A/C doesn't work, and the child is simply hot and bothered. May not be an issue with you as much it is with the heat and humdity the child is suffering under. Perhaps a nice day at the zoo, followed by a long cooling off in the neighborhood pool, followed by a cold ice cream cone from the local ice cream shop will smooth things over between you and the kiddo.

If not, have you considered placing the child up for adoption?

Whirlpool commercial ice maker pulling out the circuit breaker after a few seconds of powering up.

The ice maker is drawing to much amperage from somewhere. Is this a free standing ice maker or in a refrigerator. If free standing then it will go through a dump cycle and dump the water out of the reservoir and refill. Then the compressor will come on and that will trip the breaker if it has a weak motor or if it is locked up. You can purchase a hard start at an appliance parts store for $20 to $30 to see if this will help the compressor before replacing it. If it is inside a refrigerator the module motor on the front of the ice maker is shorted and needs to be replaced. Again at an appliance parts store you can get for about $90 you will need the model number located inside the refrigerator.
