Hi there, first you have to pit your turntable phono at the pre - amp phono to amplified then after you can put now direct into your equalizer and then to your amplifier

first you have to put your phono turntable at
pre-amp phono then put in your equalizer then in your amplifier...
( note: the pre- amp phono will amplified the small signal coming from the records)...

Would I be able to connect an external Technics SH-8036 Stereo Graphic Equalizer to my Technics SA-500 receiver?

Yes, it is hooked up using the (cassette) tape inputs and outputs. Use the tape monitor switch on the receiver to switch the EQ in or out.

Hooking up EQ to RECIEVER for a TECHNICS MODEL SH-8017

You'll need 4 connections total. On my integrated amp, I connected the four connections to all Line In and Line Out ports. And the other ends into the tape 2/EXTRA ports respectively.

Connect a denon amplifier pm-510ae to a technics equaliser sh-8058

Hi Just to let you know what ever you put between the amp and speaker you will degrade the sound quality. Even with the best machines you will muddy the sound. If you read HiFI magizine they will tell you this is true.
But if you don't care about the quality of sound than go ahead hook an equalizer on it. Hope that helps you.

the amp should have an in and out for the cassette player also,, so you would go from the Out on the receiver, to the in on the cassette,, and out of the cassette to the in on the receiver, I don't have nor can I locate that EQ , but basically,, you need to come out of the eq and back the same way you would a Cassette player,,

Like any sound processor, in the tape loop...

Receiver Tape Out (Rec) - to the External Processor (EQ, whatever) Preamp-, Rec or Line-In;

Receiver Tape In (Play) - from the External Processor (EQ, whatever) Preamp-, Play or Line-Out.

Technics SL-1210Mk2 Sound is very clear but low frequencies are very POOR.Other sources are checked i think the problem comes from the turntable. I replace my old phono pre amp with rolls VP29 and i check...

Possible that the negative feedback amplification is not compensating to the preamp.
The cartridges must match with the preamp so that the full frequency response is received.
If you can add along an equaliser to you phono path on way to the amplifier , the compensation can be set up to the room accoustics and taste.
Alteration of the input impedance to the amplifier with a network can also help but an equaliser might be tthe best for you

Connection of Amp to Equaliser

Thanks guys, but i solved my problem, i experimented and decided that i would run my DVD player (Aux Out) as a CD player through the Equaliser in [Rec] and from equaliser out [Play] i went into Tape Play on Amp, then i connected my Turntable CD Radio System to the Tape 1 Rec on Equaliser and then from Tape 1 Play on Equaliser went into the Tape 2 on AMP then i could use Aux in on Amp to connect my Laptop via my laptops headphone socket my laptop has an equaliser so i didn't need to connect to pioneer EQ, i also connected a small 5.1 to the DVD's 5.1 and connected 4 *45w Speakers to the AMP. and i can say it was FANTASTIC i couldn't get to 5 on my volume it was un @$#%believable.

Connection between CD, EQ, SP technics

Each unit (the EQ and the Processor) should have left/right in/out rca jacks as well as L/R tape in/outs. The EQ or processor use the receiver's tape loop and then provide a tape loop to replace the one they've used on the receiver.

You plug the first unit (let's say the Sound Processor into your receiver/amp as if it were a tape deck (Processor's outs connect to reciever's tape ins (play) while the Processor's ins connect to the receiver's tape outs (record).

Then you chain the EQ off the Processor in the same way (EQ outs connect to Processor's tape ins (play) and EQ ins connect to the Processor's tape outs (record).

Last you connect the tape deck to the EQ as follows. Tape deck outs connect to EQ's tape ins (play) and the tape deck ins connect to the EQ's outs (record).

This will put both the Sound Processor and the EQ in the receiver's tape loop. In order to have all the receiver's source signals routed through them you may have to engage a Tape Monitor switch or button somwhere on your amp which will route the tape loop to your speakers.
