I need to set my Motorola SB6141 modem to bridge mode

The 6141 is not a "gateway". It is always in "bridge mode". However, some crazy engineer decided that the 6141 should have a default DHCP server -IFF- it was unable to completely sync with the cable modem server (i.e. the other end of the cable). I have not been able to figure out how to turn this "feature off". But once it was by-passed, the 6141 worked flawlessly.

*by-passed: somehow (god only knows) the numerous reboots of the 6141 finally synced with the cable provider so that DHCP to my router was finally a "real" IP address. (not 192.168 or

I can't get the second hand to go round

check the owner's manual, many breitling models have screw-in chrono buttons for the same reason as a screw-in crown. It may have a tough push to get it started but you should feel no grinding. A pop or a snap and the chrono should run. Otherwise you are going to have to send it to a service center on (assuming it is real). Remember, a chrono is $6000, do you want a local shoe repair shop to work on it without proper tools, or a Breitling center with the special tools. This is what you get in to when you get an expensive watch!

there might be a problem with the Linksys router, the Westell 6100 should be 1st set to bridge mode in order for your router to be connected to it. or there could also be a proble on the Verizon server.

Tried Jailbreaking itouch 2.2.1 using quickpwn and got briked! not will not let me go into recovery mode stuck on apple logo. I already tried holding P+H and then H but will not work cux iTunes says i need...

ok so i bricked my ipod accidentally and i figured a way to unbrick it(well i worked with mine) so you have your bricked ipod if you have anymeans of turning the screen on turn it off. so make sure your screen isblack (ipods off) before you do this then close itunes if its openconnect the ipod cable to your computer but not to the ipod. Then hold the home button and at the same time connect the ipod to your computer. Your ipod should show the connect to itunes symbol and then i tunes will automatically open

this should un-brick your ipod hopefully then you can update to anyfirmware but if you get an error just click restore not shift restore

give me feed back if it works or not thanks

it can only fix some ipods/iphones that only have software related issues but try it anyway!!

Breitling Airwolf analog/digital time sync

On the Breitling there is a "mode" button. Pressing this cycles between the various modes - Time in Zone one, Time in zone two, alarm 1, alarm 2 and so on. The mode you are in is displayed in the mode window and while that is displayed moving the analog hands also moves the digital figures.
At one point though pressing the mode button results in a blank in the mode window. This is in fact NUL mode. In that mode changing the hands does NOT change the digital display so in this mode you can synchronise hands with digital.
Nul mode is easy to miss because the mode panel is just blank so its easy to think that the watch is just not responding to pressing the mode button!

Instructions for a swr meter/cb radio

An SWR meter is used to see how well your antenna is matched to your transmitter output, just like using the correct speakers with an amplifier.

There are usually two readings. FORWARD and REFLECT
or FWD and REFL

Firstly, make sure the antenna selector is in the correct position and set for the antenna you are using.

Next, switch your meter to FWD (FORWARD). Switch your transmitter to low power and press the microphone key.

Next, adjust the CAL knob for the maximum power reading, but not so far that the meter exceeds maximum!

Keep the microphone key pressed and switch to REFL (REFLECT). If your antenna is matched, the meter should now give a low reading. If the reading is very high, you must match your antenna by making adjustments or by using a matching unit.

A poor match will mean a poor signal. A very poor match can damage your transmitter and cause interference.

When you have a good FORWARD reading and a low REFLECT reading, your system will be reasonably matched and you can then use higher power. Remember that you will need to reduce the CAL knob to a lower setting when running high power.

Frequency change

I figured out that with the RCA modems, if you pull them off the network ( disconnect the cable) , do a system reset (push the button on the back) for 45 seconds it goes into (what I call night rider mode) with the lights. After it is done with that it will give a class C address to the PC plugged into it. You can plug the gateway address into a browser and get into a configuration mode. There may be a place to reset the freq. not sure though. Sometimes you have to do it a few times to get it into this mode... once you lock in a configuration change I have never been able to get back into it without doing an other reset. Give it a try.
