I have a RCA Home Theatre TV. I believe it's 32 or 35 inches. My problem is everytime I push the power button, it turns on then off exactly 3 times before staying off. The picture never comes in because it turns off right away. I tried with the remote control and by going to the TV button. Please help!

Re: Turns on and off
You have a shutdown problem. The 3 times is a "3 strikes and your out" RCA feature that says there is something latching the set up. You will have to have a technician look at it. In this case it might not be worth it.

Believe it or not, most common problem is dirty, faulty remote. Remove remote from room, if TV still does it, unplug TV, push and release power and volume buttons multiple times each and wiggle while doing. Try letting them "pop" out after you push in. You may be able to feel a "bad" one. Plug back in and do each several more times. If no difference, problem is internal circuitry (very rare). Ghost or someone/neighbor playing games(must be very close)
the buttons switches are leaking more than likely this a comon problem in a lot of tvs they start leaking and send a voltage signal to the ics and tv will start doing funny things. Anyway need to replace these switches probley about six of them in all they are mounted on a board behind where you push the power button. Should replace all just to be on the safe side.
Try holding down the the code search button until the LED lights.. Then push the TV button.. with the tv on Start pushing the power button at one second intervals until the tv turns off.. Then push the enter button. that should find the correct code.
You need a remote a $7 GE universal will work good.
