I am unable to find driver for my inbuilt nvidia graphics card for window xp. i am using compaq presario V6000 , and series no. V6211VU

The following information is for the Compaq Presario C772TU Notebook PC

Which version of Windows are you using? (Vista or XP)

The Compaq/Hp web site does not list drivers for XP or Windows 2000

I was able to find the Intel posted drivers

There was a TSB about the motherboards on the V series describing severe video issues and Nvidia GPU failures. Many consumers got a motherboard replacement. Try using a laptop cooler in the meantime and see if that helps a little. Also try googling V6000 video and see how many others got nuked by this poor design.

You need to download the drivers from the Compaq/HP WEB support/download page. Make sure you select your model laptop and the XP or Vista Windows version of the drivers you require and install them.

you must be  download your loptop vedio drivers check it control panel --> Dispaly--> go to the properties --> 1024*768 select it go to the advanced tap click it there you can select refresh rate is 60 Hertz and 70 Hertz check it.. 

u miss the driver check device manager and see wich hardware is uknown then you sould use driver max it's free but needs you to claim a free license code and create a user account(they are all free) after you've done that press identify uknown harware...link for program:http://small.drivermax.com/soft/dmx/drivermax.exe

i experienced the same problem.i fixed it by installing the correct audio drivers.however the inbuilt mic wont work if you dont have vista.

usually all drivers for Compaq and HP computer systems (portable and non-portable) can be found on the HP support website (Click here to go to it), simply go there, chose your region, than your country, enter your model number (not the series, the model number, you would usually find it on the service tag, or wherever you would find a serial number), but be sure to chose "Download drivers and software (and firmware)", and than chose your operating system. Hope this has helped.

if you are unable to intall the graphic driver,it may be that the driver you are using is not compatible with the laptop.what i will advice you to do is toget the real driver for the laptop and reintall the operating system again and try running the driver, because at times when drivers that are not the real driver for the machine is being use when you try running the real driver it might no go because you have try intalling the wrong driver several times.
