Hey my toshiba equium ha sno driver installed for the sound or for its built in wireless and i have no cd with it and was wondering if u knew any internet sites were i could download the drivers for free
All Mfgs. have web sites to download drivers for your PC. Type in Toshiba and hit Ctrl+Enter at the same time. Tell that site where you are located. Choose the product (Computers) and on that site you should see a tab for support which should take you to the driver(s) in question. Download them to your desktop and run them following the instructions that should open. This will fix a driver problem. This url should get you close, but you have to choose the exact model: http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/home.jsp. Try that and see if it helps.

Hi, It doesnt sound like a problem with you laptop, rather its most likely to be the router. People can edit the settings so that only their IP adress can connect. If you can connect with limited connectivity, again its the router, not connecting properly. Can you connect to any router? i take it you're not connection to your own XD
You might deleted your driver to wireless connection or you perhaps upgraded Service Pack to higher version. If your wireless connection will work on lower SP then that device won't work or vice versa.
Another thing, try to check connections. Click menu and look for connections and try to enable wireless connections.
You can restore your laptop using a regular windows cd, formatting the disk and reinstalling the OS again. After that all the devices which the drivers are not included on the windows CD like for example; network, sound, video, you can download them from the manufacturer website and complete in this way the process to restore your laptop to zero.
From what I see about the Equium, the name Equium is in use in UK only. In other European & countries USA the name is Satellite. From the specs of the model you mentioned you DO have a onboard NIC. You might have to uninstall the driver that you have due to corruption and the operating system will install a generic driver for you to use. Or you can go to Toshiba if you’re in Europe http://www.toshiba-europe.com locate support and you can download the driver there. If you have a driver your probably not setting (configuring the router and your computer) the network up properly.

PCI device usually are devices attached to its PCI slot... If you have inserted one, that needs to install its drivers too. If none, one driver is not installed very well or not installed at all, that maybe the modem or the sound card is not working very well. Check out your settings if you have missing devices, then install from CD that comes with your computer... Keep me posted.
