Question about Sony Playstation 3 (PS3) Console
My tv won't display the picture for my ps3. I have an AV cable and it worked before fine but it just suddenly stopped working. I tested the inputs on my tv and the dvd player worked fine. I also tested the AV cable with a volt meter and it was working fine.
I am not completely sure that this will help you, however try doing a "factory reset".
You accomplish this by first (1) having the PS3 being off (2) hold down the power button on the front of the PS3. It will beep once when you turn it on and then a second time. When you hear it the second time, let go. See what happens.
Sometimes if you connect your consoles video a different way such as S-Video, Component or HDMI, your console remembers those settings and saves them causing many individuals to turn their console on and there is no video.
I hope this gives you somewhere to start.

Hold the power button until you hear 2 beeps, and then your problems should be fixed, the only thing that was reset was the back round wall paper, but they were still saved in the themes menu and none of the saved data will be reset

SOURCE: AV Cable Problems
try turning your tv on the input that you have the ps3 plugged in. Then with your ps3 on standby (the red light is on), hold the power button until the second beep. This resets the video settings

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
