Everytime I load the disc in the player you hear the disc loadin but it does not play. It just keeps making the loading sound "drrrrrrrrrrt drrrrrrrt drrrrt" This goes on for about 10 min. before it spits back out the disc. Even if you press eject the disc doesn't come out. Press play it doesn't respond. Discs are clean and play in other dvd players. Help!!!!! Its no fun listening to toddlers aks why no thomas overr and overr again.
Their are two possible causes for this problem, 1- the flat white cable that connects dvd player is not making contact where it conncts to dvd player. 2- the dvd laser eye is binding on the plastic trck that it slides on. This is a fairly simple fix remove track and use a razor blade to gently scrape the track in the spot it is binding, you can determine the spot by manually rollin the hesad back and forth.
Hi, I had the same problem with my PMD-100NT. I found that there was a motor inside that, I think, was moving the laser head was skipping and the head was not moving into position. I hooked a portable to the external jacks and I am just using it as a monitor. I am email@example.com if you have any questions.

Most of auto dvd players are self contained much like your home dvd player with the exceptions that they run on 12volts and can transmit sound via a fm modulator , if your screen will not load or loads then turns blue try a different disc if it still occurs then there is a internal fault in the pods circuitry !
You cant insert a dvd disc? maybe the loading mechisum is faulty. if the dvd is inserted (hear it spinning) but no picture the reader could be faulty or the easy to fix option the out wires arn't in the correct order or colour.
The loading mech or poss. the read portion of the disc player is out of whac. In other words the cd dvd portion of your deck is defective and short of having it repaired by a techinition there isnt much you can do. Its a **** shoot but you may be able to unplug the unit let it set for a few minutes and plug it back in may rest the mech., but like I say its a **** shoot. Sounds like its time for a new deck or a trip to the repair center.
actually it is due to faulty disk or dirty lens sometimes , when the lens is dirty it keeps on trying to read the data from cd or dvd and it just cant stop that infact stuck in it , or the other reason is faulty loading gear , in either case u have to physically dis assemble the player , remove the top cover some 4 or 6 screws are there in place open the top cover see the cd /or dvd and remove it physically do not force anything hard when removing the media and then if u can see the lens of ur player just clean it with a soft cloth with ur fingers in cicular motions very gently and u will see that it will play dvd /cd fine , the other thing if the loading gear is faulty or broken then u can ask me more on this
If you are loading a store bought DVD and that it what it say's. The transport needs to be replaced. roughly 150-200. If you are loading "burned" DVD's the format may be wrong and the unit cannot read it. Best suggestion I can give you is to first buy a "Laser Lens Cleaner" on that uses fluid. Any electronics store sells them for 15-20. Run it thru the unit a couple of times then try a clean, store bought DVD. If it plays, problem solved. With your DVD's, if you have any liquid car polish like mother's or meguiars, put a couple drops on the disc and spread around with your finger, let it set a couple then buff off with a microfiber towel. This works wonders for old scratched cd's and dvd's and helps protect new ones from getting scratched. As for the Lens cleaner, run it thru every product you have that uses discs 3 or 4 times a year, it's the best preventative maintance and only maintanance you can do on a CD player DVD or PC. Hope this helps
