I need to reprogram the main message not just my personal VM

I can go onto my phone and make it say what I want for my VM, but I need to change the first message a client receives on the whole system. I need help and the instruction manual has nothing on it about this stuff.

"No such station" message appears when I try to

It means there's "No Such Station" :-)

VM extensions are part of the system, usually the pilot number is the lowest of the sequence. If your button got reprogrammed and you're dialing a number that doesn't exist, you'll get that error.
Start by dialing like 22, 23, 24, 25 (4 highest ports in a 0816 DSU). Reprogram the button by Intercom **1 press the button and dial 6xx where xx is the VM pilot number.

I have a Mitel Superset 4025. The "message" button was somehow reprogrammed so that pushing it now calls the operator, I can access my VM using "8" but the message waiting light is...

it's because the operator set a message to your phone. You need to leave the handset on the cradle and push the message button. Read the display and follow the prompts. You should be able to clear the message.

My voice mail hasn't worked in weeks and now I've lost important saved messages. Can I retrieve them?

Usually VM messages are kept for only a certain amount of days depending on your package. If your Voicemail is not working it the voicemail feature on your account with your provider may have been deleted or there is an issue with the programming in your phone. Try calling your cell from another phone. If your promted to leave a message thats a good sign. You may need to just reprogram your VM number back into phone. If you are NOT prompted to leave a msg then you will have to contact your service provider and find out what's happened. Hope this helps.

Changing the main answer message

Hi Cindy,

a couple of requirements here;

1~ you need to know the VM huntgroup number ie; number dialled to access the voicemail system
2~ the administrator mailbox number usually, 999 or 9999 by default
3~ the admin vm pin code which is usually 8642 by default

basic menu selection;
4 change system gereetings
1 change primary greetings

the system will supply voice prompts to allow you to change system greetings,
The superkey is the Blue key on the top left of the set

4 sys gereetings
1 pri greeting

if you are trying to change AA greetings follow the above just change the VM box number to the one associated with the Auto attendant alternativly you can configure the greeting from the System administration tool under the following ;

Sys Administration menu -> Voice Mail -> System audio files Update

select the AA greeting and greeting type

Voice message, reprogramming extensions

How did you program the voicemail so a caller can not leave a voicemail to a particular extension? Line ownership? SO a call goes directly to a milbox?

How can you reprogram the voice message????? Which one, for a particular user or the main Auto attendant greeting????

You have to know the admin login to change a mailbox password.

For that, you need to know which voicemail system this is.
When you log in to check your mail, the lady says, "welcome to Partner......"

Please fill in the blanks.

Voicemail alert tones

I think that there is just a generic message alert tone setting applies for both vm and text. If your voicemail alert tone and message alert tones are the same, this is probably the case. I have searched the menu on my phone and haven't found any setting to change vm tone specifically.

Changing The Main Greeting & Password

You need to change the password on 998 if you don't know it. You can delete the mailbox password from mailbox 999 (if you have that password...).

Otherwise a certified dealer will need to use a computer to reset the password.

In the worst case scenario, the dealer's password is lost too... but a certified dealer can do a total reset on the system and get it set up again. One of the things we always do is provide a button on the receptionist's phone that shows when a message is left in 998 - a very popular feature indeed, but it does need to be planned for when the system is first initialized.

We have a support package that allows us to make all the changes you need over the Internet for a flat annual fee. If you want your whole system to work properly and all changes to be made for you at a flat budget, call us at 877-236-8376.
