This as you know is the logitech software update manager that is running in the background and is probably unable to connect with the internet or the logitech site for news and updates. If you do not want the programme to run at all go to Start>run then type msconfig and hit enter, and on the startup tab and look for runner.exe on c:\logitech line and untick it. Click apply and restart pc. If you wish it to run you may have to install the software again as it is either corrupt or unable to connect with the logitech sever.

I cannot load CDBCommunication Layer. How can I stop this message from appearing on the picture???

Fix for ACDSee 6.0
Jun 21, 2005 Everytime MS comes out with a security patch for Windows XP Pro my ACDSee would start poping up an error message until I deleated the program and reinstalled. A giant pain that had me ready to ditch ACDSee.
The error message: "can't load cdbcommunication layer"
I recently tried ACDSee's customer service again since some time had past since my first encounter with this problem. This time they had a quick and easy solution and here it is.
Try to register your DBLocalServer.exe COM object by doing the following...
1: Start DOS Command Prompt window by clicking on Start button, Run, and type "cmd"
2: CD into the location of DBLocalServer.exe by typing this (cd "c:\program files\common files\acd systems") in the command prompt.
3: Register DBLocalServer.exe COM object by typing
DBLocalServer regserver
It worked for me, so I thought I'd share it here.

(LOGITECHDESKTOPMESSENGER.EXE)

Hello marchits2002, please have a look in your Startup and disable the filename you stated above from running on startup.

To do this - Press Windows Key + R (to open the Run Dialog), then type MSCONFIG.EXE and press Enter.

You can now see the fourth tab called Startup, have a look at the list and uncheck any startup items you don't find necessary.

Apply the changes and restart computer. Done.
