Normal 0 Try disconnecting the Camera from the USB port and reinstall the CD or Downloaded software program. When the program asks you to connect the camera to the USB port, do so and it should work.
Then to use it on the Web do this.
Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype ( ) set it up as follows:

  1. Go to Tools, then Options, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  2. Then click on the Video Settings.
  3. The camera if Installed Properly will come up and show a video picture.
  4. Then, on the bottom of the page click on Save.
The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now be able to see and her to you.
B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger ( ) set it up as follows:
  1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
  2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
  3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
  4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.
C. Windows Live Messenger:
  1. After you start Windows Live Messenger, expand the view by clicking on the square on top left next to the red X.
  2. Then on the Windows Live messenger window on the right side, click on “ “Show Menus.” And then click on “Show the Menu Bar”.
  3. Next go to the Menu Bar on right side, click on “ “Action.”
  4. Go to “TOOLS” and click “Audio and Video Setting” and follow the instructions.
NOTE: Your audio and video should work. Enjoy.
When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

The application fails to load anymore. It stops at 95% when trying to reinstall.

Hmm. A case for Sherlock Holmes. Ok, you obviously had it installed previously and it worked then. For some reason, you uninstalled it. Perhaps it no longer worked. Now it won't install. I am tempted to say you installed something between the time it worked and the time it didn't that conflicts with it OR there was a patch applied to your system that did not support the software OR you ran some antimalware program that rejects some PUPS in the program and now the program won't even install. The only way around all three of these possibilities is to try a system restore to a date when that programs worked. That will uninstall what ever you have installed since that time, including updates to your OS and your protection and even your browser.

(You might try an installation while in safe mode. If the installation requires internet access, be certain to choose safte mode with networking. This is just a long shot.)

Update your antivirus software after a system restore (although it may soon enough update itself). You might download the software again as there is a possibility that the installation file is simply corrupt. But I do not think that is the problem in this instance. If you cannot do a system restore, try uninstalling some of the other software you have installed of late. You might see if a system file has been corrupted. You can download and run Glary Utilities and go to the section that checks system files (and replaces bad ones). That is a long process but should give you some peace of mind even if it does not fix your problem. Good luck.

You may have to try and do System Restore on your PC to a period in time when all your buttons (keyboard refers) worked.

Another alternative is to Uninstall the most recent program you installed and you started experiencing a faulty right mouse button on your PC

I have an Acer Aspire One. Just got Comcast service. The Acer will connect to the wireless internet but I can't open internet explorer to browse the internet. I've done just about everything.

If you cant open and run Internet Explorer it might be corrupted. There are some ways on how to diagnose if the Internet Explorer has been corrupted, try to use a different browser like Google chrome or Mozilla. Check if both browsers are working fine with your computer. If you can use other browser try to uninstall and reinstall the Internet Explorer. Here are the basic steps on how to reinstall it again.

1. Before you uninstall the program please make sure to download the latest Internet Explorer using a different browser.
--> you can download it here.

2. Uninstall the Internet Explorer by going to the control panel.
--> Click Start button, point to control panel, Add remove programs then click Internet Explorer then uninstall it.

3. After you uninstalled the Internet Explorer you may now restart the system.

4. Turn on the computer then install the latest Internet Explorer.

5. Restart again the computer and you should good by now.

-- if you're still experiencing the same issue, try to do a system restore.

Uninstall programes we dont want which refuse to be uninstalled

Try to restore your computer to an older date. Go to SYSTEM TOOLS then SYSTEM RESTORE, select a previous date when you think you did not have those unwanted programs installed and proceed. The computer will start the process, it will reboot automatically then you should be fine next login.

Logetech quick cam driver to install web cam

Visit the Logitech website and browse the photo gallery for your model and click on the photo to navigate to the support page.
Note - Older models on page 2 - look for the link at the bottom right of page 1 and click on it "Still can't find your product?",en?prodcrid=405

In addition to the Logitech installer you will need to run the support software - Microsoft DirectX . This comes pre-loaded on most Windows computers but has to be updated - I am currently on version 11
To start the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, click Start, click Run, type dxdiag in the Open box, and then click OK.

Procedure to re-install Logitech software
Close all programs while uninstalling - downloading and uploading software
Disconnect your webcam
Uninstall the current webcam software on your computer
Restart computer
Download the Installation package from Logitech
Run the installer and choose your options during the installation - You may not want Logitech Chat but the Desktop icon for the webcam toolbar is a must.
Connect your webcam when prompted.

It just went of yestrday and cannot get it back on to facebook

due to some updates, this could be possible follow this steps:- first do system restore and take the system to back date configuration when it was working fine.
if you have xp or vista then uninstall internet explorer 8 either from add and remove prog from control pannel in xp or prog and feature in vista comp and then click view installed updated, find windows internet explorer 8 right click and then uninstall.
note:- before uninsatlling make sure . open internet explorer click on help/about internet explorer and check the version.
afrter uninstallation restart the computer and internet explorer 7 will get reinstall automatically.
reset the internet explorer. how?
start/run/type inetcpl.cpl/advanced/reset and then check the facebook. everything should work fine.

Internet explorer will not open

try to do system restore 2 - 3 days from the time you first experience the problem.

to do system restore ( for windows xp) click start, click all programs, click accessories, click system tools and click system restore. click next and after that you will be able to see a calendar with dates that is bold form, it means that those bold dates are your usable restore points and choose the restore point 2 - 3days from the time you first experience the problem then click next or restore. after that the computer will process the system restore and will restart automatically, if the system restore is successful click the finish button if not just click ok and try another restore point.


if that doesnt work try to go to safemode w/ networking, at that mode try to use your internet explorer.

to go to safemode w/ networking shutdown the computer completely. turn it on again after 10 - 20 secs, as soon as you see the dell screen immediately tap the " F8 " key continuously. if that is successful you be in the windows advance menu option screen. use your up and down arrow key in your keyboard to navigate, choose the safemode w/ networking and hit enter twice. log in to your account or name ( not the administrator ) just to check if you are in the safemode w/ networking, there will be safemode word in each corner of your screen and the desktop background is black.

if you are using windows xp and you are internet explorer 8, try to uninstall the internet explorer 8.

to uninstall the internet explorer 8, follow the instructions below
- click start
- click control panel
- click add/remove programs
- navigate and look for the internet explorer 8, click it then click remove and restart the computer after.

How do I uninstall IE8 I want to go back to IE7, because of the Youtube Adobe flahs player problem. the IE8 keeps saying Javascript is turned off, despite me trying severeal times to install the flash...

first goto the control panel to uninstall the IE8,
then click on the add/remove program then find the windows internet explorer 8 uninstall it by clicking the remove button.
after uninstalling the IE8 restart the system
then check the wether the internet explorer come the 6 version or 7, if it is 6 install the IE7

Check if you are facing the same issues in the safe mode. To boot to safe mode press F8 as soon as you turn on.

Then choose Safe mode.

Uninstall software which you may feel is necessary and check by uninstalling the latest software.

Uninstalling can be done in the Control panel assuming the OS is Windows.

Turn off system. Remove battery and AC adapter and press the power button for 30 seconds.

Turn on system in normal mode and check for the functionality.

If no luck then login to safe mode once again and then try to use the system restore to restore the system back to a previous date. Choose a date when you feel the system was working fine.

If no then probably we need to consider a reinstall of OS or Restore factory defaults.
