Have mini-dvd Finalized in HD unable to view on...
You asked me to post more information for clarification.
Basically here is the clarification...I am able to record on my sony camcorder the video in 2 different formats..Standard or High Definition. When I record in standard mode and finalize the mini-dvd I can plop into my computer and watch the video on windows media...no problems... When I do the same with HD and plop into my computer I get a message that the file format is not recognized and I am unable to view on windows media player.. Other software programs available that allow me to view in HD video mode??? What do you think?? R

http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0900000562/DC210NIM-EN.pdf here is the manual look on page 62 for playback on a pc. you need a dvdrom drive. if you have one make sure you have software like windows media player 10 or 11, or powerdvd to play the movie. as for editing the video is a little bit more tricky. you are going to have to "rip" the video and then combine it in a program like windows movie maker with the other dvd that has been ripped too. when you are done editing in windows movie maker just choose avi or dvd type.
Hi, Make sure that MiniDVD has been finalized in camcorder then it can be playback in any other DVD Player. Finalize option would be available in camcorder dvd setup menu, select it to finalize recorded mini dvd disc, please note UnFinalized mini dvd disc will only playback in camcorder because of its raw data and Finalization will validate this raw data so other dvd players will recognize this mini dvd disc for playback. Hope these info will help you. Thanks.
