Behringer stalls my mac

This appears to be a very old device that was intended for use with Windows XP:

I suspect that the software is incompatible with Windows 7.

Have you found a solution for this yet?

Try uninstalling the hardware, and then reinstall using the software downloaded from Behringer, rather than plug and play.

Some computer firewire interface's don't work very well under Windows... However...

Make sure you follow the installation directions to the letter... especially in regard to whether the cable is plugged in while installing...

Also you MIGHT try installing the software in SAFE MODE.

Then in the audio editing software you often have to configure the audio in/out device.

This can realy be frustrating... I just fought a UA 25EX to get it to work and the problem was an incorrect switch to the sample rate.

it won't work beacuse on windows xp64bit only 64-bit kernel mode drivers are supported.....

Where are the trim controls set?
Those mics use both phantom and battery power; are the mic switches set to phantom?
Try using the CD/Tape outputs to the FCA202

It's an Apple 10.4.10 issue, not the soundcard.

I had a similar problem where as I could use the mic no problem at all but couldn't hear anything through the headphones. The simple solution was to disable the driver for my internal soundcard. It took me 48 hours to work it out! Good luck.

You need to use a mic preamp or a mixer with a mic preamp built in. The inputs on the FCA202 are line level and they won't work with a mic directly.
