Could be 1 of 2 things - Either the computer is not sending a signal to the monitor or the monitor is not responding to the signal. Try plugging another monitor into the computer, if it comes on then the monitor needs repair

I have a Dell Dimension E521. When I cut the power on everything comes on including the monitor, but the monitor will stay black. It does say something about power save hit any button but the screen

A solid green light means the computer is operating normally.

A solid yellow light indicates the power supply is operating normally but the computer is not processing data.

This could mean there is a problem with the CPu or another component on the motherboard.

((A blinking yellow light indicates the power supply is receiving power from the wall, but not functioning properly.
This generally means the power supply itself is bad and should be tested or replaced.))

A blinking green light means the computer is in standby mode.

You should consider visiting Dell Support and downloading the manual for your

your Dell computer. So use the LED power light codes if your Dell computer has them.

hope this helps

My monitor dont come on, and green light flashng, viewsonic vp930b.

If your ViewSonic LCD monitor has stopped working with a blinking green power button, It typically means that there is one or more failed capacitors in the monitor. It would be best to send the monitor in to Viewsonic for service or to purchase a new monitor.

The green light indicating power is blinking on and off and nothing is showing up on the screen.

when the green light is flashing it means it's not getting a signal from the computer..
1. try toggling through available sources with the source button on the monitor.
2.check all cables leading from the pc to the monitor.

Does not power up, however there is a slight

Its going to be either a problem with the screen or bulging pregnant capacitors.

A good capacitor will have a flat silver top. A bad capacitor will look puffy on top or the bottom or both and sometimes may even be leaking.

You'll have to get the back cover off to check for this. If you do find bad capacitors then you'll need to replace them with capacitors of the same UF rating and the same voltage or higher. You'll need to have some soldering skills to do this. Also make sure the marked part of the capacitor is facing the marked part on the board.

Now go ahead and hook the monitor back up, if it turns on and you get a self-test menu to come up then that means the monitor is fixed. If you still get a green light or you don't find puffy caps, then that means the lcd is bad and you'll need to get another monitor.

I have a xerox XG-91D and when i power it up there is no picture and the green light flashes. how do i fix this?

This is most likely the power inverter board in the monitor - this is common in many monitors. If it started taking longer and longer to display an image, and the power light is blinking on-and-off, that's the problem. You can confirm that it's the monitor and not your computer or the cable by plugging in another monitor if you have one to try.

If it's under warranty, send it back, if not, there are inverter boards for many common models of LCD monitors that are replaceable. The board can run anywhere from $50 on up. Depending on how old it is, you may find it better to just replace it with a gently used one from ebay.
