You can hit the arrow button to make sure your on the main screen there should be an icon with a loud speaker either in top right corner of main screen or by pressing the blackberry button. Then selecting the volume button. If this doesn't work send me some clarification and I will Troubleshoot further.

Switch off speaker phone on dash htc

When you are calling somebody, click menu, then click Turn Off Speakerphone. If you want to disable the system volume, go to the volume control settings (Start, settings, click more, click more again, then click Volume Touch Strip.) Once there, you can set the touch strip to work when in a call, or for calling and when your on the home screen. If you don't want any volume on your HTC Dash, you can set the volume strip to work with the system and in call volume, and then turn the volume all the way down, and then change the setting to just work with in call volume. You can also go to profiles, and select the silent mode, but make sure you change all the sounds to the quietest as possible (ie for call, select silent, and for reminders, select vibrate.) Hope this helps.

Change Ringtone Automatically when charging

The BlackBerry gives few profiles to choose from; e.g. Normal, Loud, Quiet, Vibrate.... my recommendation would be to configure each profile separately and just enable/disable the profile you like when you enter/exit your car...

The phone itself is not capable to switching the profile on its own once it is plugged in to your car charger...

Hope this was helpful...

My BB pearl 8100 doesn't ring for incoming calls/messages/emails, but if i go to listen my ringtones or music they all sound fine, i think it got corrupted or something because no matter how i change the...

Not sure if the pearl interface is the same as mine, a Storm - I have an option on my main screen to fast-select ring volume (called Notification), which affects both calls and messages, and I can choose loud, soft, vibrate, silent, and also go into options for more detailed settings. You may have such an option that is easy to find, and maybe easy to set by mistake, without realising it.

Pearl manual at this location:
http://docs.blackberry.com/en/smartphone_users/deliverables/1217/userguide_bb8100_gprs.pdf
see p193, Notification Profiles.
There are other keys, eg # that affect notification sounds/vibrate. Download and search in the manual for 'Notification" to find all the places mentioned.

Even if you have a paper manual, I recommend keeping the electronic one since you can easily search for keywords and find all the places they are mentioned quickly.

HTC Touch doesnt ring on incoming call

Hi. First thing, you can check your sound settings, by tapping Star Menu, then Settings, then Sounds & Notifications, and through that page, you can check if your incoming call alert is on (just sound, or vibrate and sound), you can try to change the ringtone to see if your current ringtone is damaged or not. (Since other sounds are alright, there shouldn't be any problem in your hardware or in the sound volume levels) Hope this helps.

I have a borowed Blackberry Pearl. I can't figure out how to turn my audible ringer "ON!" Among many other issues but, I can't hear when my phone has an incoming call! Help please?

Go to profiles and make sure it's not in "quiet" or "vibrate" mode. If it is, choose either normal or loud.

If normal or loud are already selected you may need to go to advanced settings (at the bottom of the profile list).

In the advanced menu, click on the active profile, then choose phone. Make sure it is set for "tone" or "vibrate + tone" in both the out of holster and in holster sections.

Speakerphone when answering blackberry pearl 8100

I had the same problem. I called T-mobil, my carrier, and they had me take the battery out while the phone was 'on' and put it back in. After the security scan was done, the tech called me back on my cell - problem fixed. (I'm not sure if he did something on his end too, but at least try it your self first!)

Go to "Prefs" Under the system category. then go to Sound % Alerts. from the drop down menu at the top choose "Phone" as the application you would like to adjust. then make sure the volume is set to something other than "Off" you can also set if it vibrates or not here.

No vibrating

- Have you turned on the vibrator for incoming calls - If it is already turned on, u must take the phone to a repair shop. The vibrator might be defective or there must be a loose connection.
