Question about Sony VAIO PCV-W500GN1 PC Desktop
Where you able to find out what is causing the shutdown problem? I have a PCV-W500GN1 with the same problem.
When was the last time you cleaned your computer? Overheating from dust accumulation can cause this kind of problem.
Check to make sure no dust has accumulated in the vents. You may need to carefully open up your computer, and use a can of air to clean out dust on the components. Be aware static electricity can destroy pats of your computer. Make sure you ground yourself by touching a piece of metal before opening the computer case. You don't need to touch anything in there, however. Just carefully use the canned air to clean things out.
