Question about Samsung PS42S5H 42 in. HD-Ready Plasma Television

Black bar running from top to bottom in the screen.

I have samsung plasma HP-R4262 I see a black bar (3 inch wide) running from top to bottom in the midle of the screen. what do you think is causing this?

There are horizontal and vertical relays in plazmas that go out over time and cause this to happen , You can get an estimate from a local tv repair service in some cases they can give it to you over the phone. Good luck.

My samsung 50 inch plasma tv has a black and white 2 inch stripe from top to bottom one third from the left side of tv our tv is about 1.2 years old is there a addjustment to be done ? thank you from mike


Image retention, Go to Menu and I believe pic settings go to the Burnin Scrolling feature..Will run white and black in full screen, run for an hour problem huold be solved..Happened to mine and the scrolling feature got rid of it.

Samsung HPR4272X/XAA has 2 black bars going from top to bottom.


I really do not know there is the "Stuck Pixel Fixer programs" I think that Program Breakdown another IC. For this issue is absolutely the Plasma display panel have problem. You shall exchange it.

Black bars on top and bottom of screen when watching a dvd 50 inch plasma


The most likely thing i have found is to replace the Plasma panel , which is expensive, or u can try replacing the x-sus printed circuit board or the y-sus printed circuit board. Good Luck.

The x drive board is bad in the area you see as black. OR the cable came loose.

Line in center of screen


if the line is about one inch wide you may have a chance that the address board has failed, if it is only 1 pixel wide then there is a really good possibility that the plasma panel itself if bad, this set had a 2 year warranty from samsung, you might want to give them a call,,they are very customer satisfaction oriented

Fault in Plasma display screen


Depending on the location, it could be the Logic Main Board, or a buffer board
