Can't load photos to computer

I can't seem to upload my photos to my computer anymore. I plug it in with the USB and everything seems to be fine (it says it is uploading) but even after hours of waiting, nothing happens. I have tried changing the batteries in the camera and even uninstalled and reinstalled the camera software but nothing happens. I have uploaded photos before with no problem. I have no idea why it suddenly won't work.

I have the same problem. I use an Alienware Area 51 desktop and a Leica V-Lux 1 (excellent camera and highly recommended: 0.1 mp with 12x zoom!) I had an older Alienware and the camera was uploading quite fine on it using Photoshop Elements 5.0 Bought a new Alienware, plugged in the cable, but no uploads. No recognzing the camera or finding any files. Tried reinstall, tried calling Leica and Photoshop but incredibly long waits and I am partially deaf and since most of these techies are now outsourced, I couldn't understand their accents.

Also if the computer's file management system successfully allowed you to retrieve the pictures, then the whole computer and camera systems are working. Perhaps you could then reload the camera's software. Sometimes camera software drivers get corrupted. Your camera manufacturer probably has a site to download the latest software with enhancements and fixes.

Try using Windows Explorer or a similar folder and file locating program to find the camera. In Explorer, choose My Computer and look down the list that opens. If your camera is "seen" by the computer, it will appear in the list and you should be able to retrieve the pictures from there, just like finding and opening other folders and files. If not, the problem is most likely on the camera or cable, not the software or computer.

Download photos from Sony ericsson g502 to my pc

a few questions, i had issues with this the other day, my solution make seem unorthodox considering it shouldnt matter what usb port you plug your device in, but ive found lately that switching them around seems to work. make sure you are connected to the internet and when you plug in your device the hardware profile should automatically load up and install, especially in windows 7. another issue is, which actually you should try first, is plugging it in, and going to the main my computer screen, and select the option to show portable devices. thats what i had to do in order to transfer my ipod files to another computer computer, try that out and get back to me

I have a polaroid t730 camera and have been able to upload photos to my hp laptop in the past. however, upon trying to upload photos now, my computer does no seem to recognize that the camera is attatched...

now my computer does no seem to recognize that the camera is attatched at all,

  • Do you mean to say it recognized the camera at one time in the past?
  • What happens when you attach the USB cable?
  • What operating system are you running on your computer?
  • Did you try to re-install the drivers?

I loaded the software according to directions - everything seemed to work fine, but I can not get new pictures to load from camera to pc???

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

You don't need the software. There are also plenty of photo catalog software packages out there, some free, some not, that can transfer and catalog your pictures so you can quickly find pictures from Susie's birthday party, for example. Just do a google search for "photo catalog software".

CANON IXUS 75 Cannot upload photos to pc anymore!

OK, I'VE GOT ONE IDEA THAT MIGHT WORK. IT'S WORTH A TRY. DO THIS. TURN YOUR COMPUTER OFF> CONNECT YOUR CAMERA>TURN THE CAMERA ON>THEN, TURN YOUR COMPUTER ON AND SEE IF YOUR COMPUTER WILL RECOGNIZE IT THEN. THIS SHOULD CAUSE THE COMPUTER TO RECOGNIZE THE CAMERA. GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE THIS WORKS! IF YOU NEED MORE HELP,REPLY TO ARCLIGHT1217.
