Bulldog Remote Starter On 92 Blazer-Cranks but no fuel pump

Hello,

I just installed a bulldog Remote Starter system on my 1992 Blazer S10 Tahoe and once done everything went according to the steps and transmitter works and cranks but the the fuel pump doesn't activate. It works fine when using my key in ignition. Can you tell me which wire in steering column activates the fuel pump or maybe if you might know if I may have miswired the ACC connection?

I connected the ORG, the Pink, and a Purple one. There was no BRN. Which one controls the fuel pump because the starter does engage through the remote but never starts because the fuel pump does not engage.

Yes everything works fine when using my key and yes I wired to the heavy AWG wires at the bottom of the column that go into 2 block type connectors. I only saw an ORG, Purple, and Pink which I wired ot per the instructions.

I didn't connect any of the other accessories just the starter but button 4 does cancel the remote start process.

Model # RS102/RS102E Thank you for your help with this. This one little minor thing is driving me crazy.

I installed one of these a couple of years ago and it worked fine. I don't remember if I connected the 2 WHT wires with the yellow or not for the ignition connection (PINK). I believe this is the wire that controls the fuel pump correct?

I've wired several of these and you have likely hooked up the wires wrong its not giving power to the right wires at the bottom of your steering column...........re check your connections
on your truck there are 3 wires that need power for the starter to work they are the orange, pink and brown
hope this helps!

  • s60six Dec 30, 2008

  • s60six Dec 30, 2008

what is the model number of your starter i'll do a little more research on it

  • s60six Dec 31, 2008

got your msg I'll get back to you in the morning about it after i get a chance to go over the wiring diagrams

  • s60six Dec 31, 2008

ok here's a solution to get it working, but youll need to find a piece of wire to go from the steering colum area to the fuel pump relay.........
    1:locate the fuel pump relay
2:with relay removed test which of the wires has 12volts with the key on and 0volts with key off
3:connect a wire from the yellow wire of the 18 pin harness to the wire in the fuel pump relay wiring with the 12v switched power you found in step2
    4 replace fuel pump relay
this should tell the fuel pump relay to give the fuel pump the 12v needed to run the fuel pump and solve your issue!
hope this helps.......pls keep me posted!

just to be sure here is the info on wiring your starter to your truck check this over before doing the above steps this was obtained @ the bull dog website if you want to look at it there copy and paste this web address to the address bar on your web browser
