I text a lot. I have old texts from months before and lately I've been trying to delete them but when I turn my phone off to change the battery all the messages I deleted (even from the delete box) come back and the text messages from that day, or a few days before, dissappear like i never recieved or sent them. I don't know what to do. I have a memory card that i thought would help make more free space, but it hasn't helped much. Whenever I try to take a picture it says "disc space full!!" help.

Yeah, it works really slow. What I did was right before I went to bed I hit the "Delete all read" (so I would be able to keep any someone wrote me over night) and left it there. When I woke up in the morning all my texts from November-August had been deleted.
You just need to give it several hours.
This problem had been bugging me for over a month now so I decided to just try and wait it out. First I deleted all the threads individually that the phone would allow me to so that just left me with 3 big threads, one that had 1300 messages and 2 that had about 650 each. I went into each thread and hit delete and when the "force close or wait" message popped up I hit "wait". Then it came up again about 5 minutes later so I hit "wait" again. I kept hitting "wait" each time and the thread eventually deleted. The ones with 650 took about 10 minutes of waiting to finally get deleted, the one with 1300 took about 20 mins but eventually they were all gone and now my phone is running much more smoothly. So just wait it out. Its annoying but worth it in the end.
I actually had this problem a LOT in the past, it got so bad that I would get a message and it would INSTANTLY delete. Before I could even see who it was from, it would be gone. Then I looked for hours trying to find a solution, and found one. I haven't had the problem since, unless I have nearly a month's worth of texts in my phone.
The problem is that your device memory is too full. If you have an SD card in your phone, I highly recommend moving any photos on your device memory over to the card. If not, then I HIGHLY recommend getting one, they are wonderful.
If you do not have an SD card, and your budget is too small to get one, then delete any pictures on your device memory you dont need, or copy them over to your PC so you dont lose them, and try and keep your memory as empty as possible. Also if it happens a lot and bugs you, then every couple of days go in and empty out your message inbox also.
If this doesnt help then I dont know.
hello have you tried From your text message screen click MENU then FOLDERS. Highlight the
folder you want and click MENU then DELETE ALL to remove even ones
saved to the SIM or CLEAR MESSAGES to delete just ones stored on the
phone. also a manual can be download for futher refference if needed .
Should also just be able to select Menu->Folders, get on the folder you want cleared, click Menu->Delete All. If you don't have items in that folder you will see Delete All but you won't be able to select it.
