the bellows do tear and you will want to consult the Warrentee on that point several are recalled on the point of the wiring harness there should be no significant issue but the door switch is probably the issue . this is where the sensor and door lock is try reseating this and trying the power again

How do I stop my Kenmore front loader from leaking around the door. I have a Kenmore HE 2plus front loader

If this is a Kenmore FRONT LOADER you need to remove the lower toe panel directly below the door to inspect the cabinet interior for the source of your leak. The following link explains:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3576656-washer_leak__front_loader

The most common source of leaks on a front loader is the rubber door bellow. The bellow can develop cracks, rips or tears with age and needs to replaced. The following link explains how:

If you have any questions about this repair, please let me know so that I may be able to provide you with better assistance. I hope this helps you.

How to change bellows on Kenmore front loading washer

First remove the bottom kick plate at bottom. Then tear off the front of the bellows from around the door. Inside there is a big hose clamp holding the inside if it. Remove completely.
Now,put the inside on first, Tightening the inside clamp. Easy so far, right?
My trick to the outer spring:put a little liquid detergent or soap on out bellow where spring attaches, start at top and work it down and around, use needlenose pliers to help with hard part. Good Luck.

Kenmore HE2 won't finish spin cycle

1. Unplug washer.
2. Remove the outer portion of the door bellow. This is the gray rubber boot around the door. Feel around the edge of the door bellow where it attaches to the front of the washer. You will find a wire retaining hoop in the seam between the rubber and the front case. Follow this wire hoop to the bottom of the door bellow and you will find a tension spring. Carefully, stretch this spring apart and remove the wire hoop.
3. Pull the rubber bellow from the door facing on the front of the washer being careful not to rip or tear it. Once removed, fold the rubber backwards inside the drum so you can access behind the front panel. DO NOT remove the rubber bellow from the wash tub.
4. The door latch assembly is located behind the front panel of the washer on the right hand side. Locate and remove the three screws on the washer front that hold the door latch assembly in place. The whole assembly should come free from the washer front and be held by a plastic mounting bracket and several wire connectors.
5. Carefully remove the latch assembly from the plastic mounting bracket BEFORE attempting to unplug any wires. It makes it much easier to access if you do.
6. Unplug the wire connectors using care not to break any of the wires. You may want to write them down, but I believe they will only plug into their respective slots.
7. Remove the old door latch and install the new one in the reverse order of the steps I just presented to you. Plug the wires back in first, then place the whole assembly back into the plastic mounting bracket, and then reattach to the front of the washer.
8. Now, when you get the reinstalling the rubber door boot, you may want to get the assistance of a second pair of hands as it can be difficult sometimes to manipulate the wire retainer back into place. Carefully reattach the rubber bellow to the door facing on the front of the washer first.
9. Starting at the top of the door bellow at the 12 o'clock position begin inserting the wire hoop back into the groove. Work your way around with both hands to the 4 and 8 o'clock positions. (This is where you could use those second pair of hands). While holding a slight downward tension on the wire hoop to keep it in place, pull the tension spring apart enough to snap the remaining part of the hoop into place at the bottom. Once you've completed these steps make sure the door closes and latches properly. NEVER slam a door with an electronic latch. They can break easily.

Now plug the washer back in and test operate. NOTE: You can run diagnostics on these washers by referring to the tech sheet provided by the manufacturer. The tech sheet is located behind the lower panel under the door, or along the interior cabinet walls. Included, are instructions on how to run diagnostics and troubleshooting tips associated with the list of fault codes. It is recommended that this tech sheet remain inside the washer to prevent it from being lost.

Questions about the Bellow?

If the door bellow is twisted, it may just be a simple matter of a clamp that has come loose allowing the bellow to shift. If its the front clamp located around the door opening, this can easily be resolved by removing the clamp, repositioning the bellow and reinserting the clamp. If its the rear clamp, however, you may have to remove the front of the washer to gain full access to it. There is an aligment mark (arrow) on the bellow at the 12 o'clock postion where it meets the wash tub. You need to make sure the arrow is pointing straight up. The following link explains how to replace a bellow:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385210-replacing_door_bellow_kenmore_elite

Use this link even if you do not decide to replace the bellow. It provides good information on how the bellow is installed. Bottom line, if the bellow is not leaking, and you can resolve the twist, you do not need to replace it. Make sure you inspect for cracks or tears. As far as the additional components are concerned, inspect the clamps that you have before buying new ones. I've only had to replace these clamps on rare occasion. Last of all, "Yes", this is a job for a do-it-yourselfer. Its a little time consuming, but can be accomplished easily by following the link I provided. If you have questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

PS You may check repairclinic.com to see if they carry the bellow at a lower price. They offer competitive pricing and often carry the SAME part for less.

Torn bellows

When you get the bellows repair kit for your model, it should have the instructions and all the necessary parts for replacement.
You may need to use some muscle to replace it and may take 1 to 2 hours to complete. If you have trouble finding the part or if there are not sufficient instructions included, then email  back! ok?
