Question about Lucent PARTNER18 Corded Phone

Line one indicates in use when no one is using it.

When i try to access vmail - i receive message cannot get messages now due to multiple log ins please disconnect - how do i do this?

Your system needs to be rebooted. This will clear that message.

Need to access programing to change password and message on phone


go to http://www.telecom.toshiba.com/ and download a users guide. I suspect you want to do this for VMail. So look for the Stratagy VM users guide on this site.

Vmail light is always lit


You have unheard messages on the voicemail system provided by your telephone company. This system records messages when someone calls while you're already on the phone. Please contact your telephone company for instructions on accessing their voicemail system.

Can't access the General Delivery Mailbox


To retrieve message from mailbox behind the phone:
Feature 981
Enter your password as asked

To retrieve message from mailbox that is not behind the phone:
Feature 981
Press OTHER
Log = Your ext # and password together
Press OK

Example if mailbox 100 and password 1234 then your log = 1001234

Example if mailbox 221 and password 5678 then your log = 2215678

I can't get passed primary greeting recording.


Hi there Moodymar,

One thing you can try is logging into your mailbox as you would calling into your vmail system externally.....dial access phone number....here prompt.....dial ** mailbox number, then password. ""Sometimes"" this tricks it and you can get in. Question, does any one else have the same problem? If no, then unfortunately you have to get the system administrator to delete your mailbox and re-create it, you will loose msg's.
The nortel vmail systems are not forgiving if something doesn't sit right with them.
You also mentioned that mbox is full, do you here the system announce that?
Also make sure your mbox has not been set as a ""Information mailbox", maybe a silly question, just something to clear out of the way (this type of box does not record greetings).
Another thing, typically when mboxes are created on Norstar vmail systems the extension and mbox numbers match. Make sure you ext and mbox number match, cause 99.9 % of time they will. That small percentage of time they don't cause's confusion for the end users.
I know this is a lot of stuff, but, one last thing, to make sure your phone is operating okay, have someone else try logging into thier own vmail on your phone, or a couple of people

Partner Voice Messaging password reset?


there are different vmails for the partner. When vmail answers try 0# passwords 1234 or 12345.

you are now in admin programming. you can follow the prompts from there.

Message Indicator Light Continues to Flash


Don't know about other models, but I just called RCA small business phone support (800-511-3180) to find out how to clear the message light indicator on my 25210 2-line cordless phone when it continues to blink but there is no message.

All you have to do is hold down the delete button for a few seconds and it will clear. Hope this helps someone else from going batty!

Missing message waiting indication.


I have a jwin jt-p590 and I have no idea how to use the voicemail/answer machine it's equipped with. Is there some sort of button scheme I'm supposed to press. I threw away the manual to it. Sorry I don't have an answer for your problem, but you seem pretty witty from the answers I saw you give to other ppl. I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out.

Voice mail - you cannot get your messages at this time due to multiple log ins


Sounds like you were kicked out and still logged in, so when you tried to go back in, it said, multiple logins.

Try power cycling the system.
