Question about Belkin (F5D7230-4) Router (587009)
I have a MacBook Pro. I have been trying to access SlingPlayer on my computer. I called SlingBox tech support. They ran their diagnostics and said I needed to call Belkin and have them open port 5001 on the router. I have spent at least 3 hours on the phone with them with absolute no success. I tried putting 192.168.1.1 in the web address with no luck. Please help me. I have an elderly mother (103) who likes to watch Fox News all day and SlingPlayer was going to make it where I could watch my programs .
You need to find out your "Default Gateway", which will be the ip address of your router. To do this go to start, then run and type in cmd... you will then get a black window open... in that window type in "ipconfig".... you will then get a host of information about your network... somewhere on this screen towards the top you will see the address of you "Default Gateway" - you need to then type this into your web browser to access your route config pages...
