We changed out the cyan and magenta colors on our 5110 cn.
Now the blue doesn't come through at all, the pages come out
with mostly magenta on them, is this the cyan developer unit
that is bad or the magenta?

Re: magenta color on all pictures
Could have a corrupt driver. Disconnect
the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do
both and when the CD software program asks you to connect the printer
to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

More than likely, your printer is out of cyan and magenta colors. If you have the type of cartridges tthat have all 3 colors in one, you need to replace the entire color cartridge. If the 3 colors are separate cartridges, you will just need to replace the blue (cyan) and magenta (pink/red) colors.
Run the "disable cartridge check" It will be in the Diagnostics. Once you start the test, you can remove all the cartridges. Put the cyan in the black cartridge slot. print a config page. If it is all blue, you have another bad cartridge. If it prints correctly(minus the other colors)...continue Now put the magenta in the cyan cartridge slot. Print the config page again. If you have red all over the page, you have a problem with the slot itself. Press the STOP button and then select EXIT diagnostics. Put the cartridges back where they all go and run CALIBRATION more than once. Select/menus/down arrow/configure devce/select configure device Down arrow/print quality/seect print quality Down arrow/ calibrate now. Select it and wait.
This has to do with the document printing properties. When you are ready to print a document, choose properties and make sure you go through the printer settings under that software. The test page only verifies the cartridges. The printer properties of the software control the printer during printing.
hi, do you installing both cartridges (black and colour)? if you do so, my advice is to reinstall the driver for your printer.
if you install ONLY the black cartridge, and the color cartridge remain the old one, (which in my opinion is the present case), your problem is from the color cartridge. The color cartridge have 3 colors and this are: cyan (some kind of blue), yellow and magenta (similar with a pink color, but more intense). The problem is simple: in your color cartridge has left only the magenta color, cyan and yellow tanks are empty.
have 2 options: 1. buy a new color cartridge 2. refill the color cartridge.
Color copiers have four drums. black, yellow, cyan(blue) and magenta. try making a copy in single color mode. make one in all the colors mentioned above. If they all come out normal and the cyan (blue) one doesnt, this could indicate a bad cyan (blue) pcu and or developer.
