Question about Televison & Video
I recently bought a Toshiba XD-e500KC XDE upscaler DVD player with my new LCD TV (also Toshiba). After only 3 hours, without warning, the image became filled with digital blocks. Actually, only the moving images where blocky. For example, FBI warning where perfectly clear ;)This is not disc related, since , all the discs i have tried after presents the same issues. And i have also tried my HDMI cable on my old DVD player ( Samsung), and everything is working fine. I have brougth back the my player to Best BUY ( under warranty), and picked up another box. 2 Weeks laters, after extensive use of the new player, same problem occured once again. And bizarrely, watching the same movie ( Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the crystal skull). While the player is still under warranty again, i was a bit suprised to experiment the same issue twice in such a short time frame. Any insight is welcome.
Well, this was no brainer. After simply unplugging the device for about 24 hours, everything went back to normal. Seem that the player is still having this problem from time to time, probably Bios related. I have also advise Toshiba support of the problem and the workaround. Hopefully, they will come with a permanent solution to that problem.
Have a nice day
