Dodge 2005 diesel truck has a Pioneer DEH 96200BT radio. The AM/FM radio part works but the sirius says "no device

Did it ever work? Sounds like you have an interface problem. Make sure the radio is connected to a Sirius XM satellite. If your device is not connected to a satellite, your device will display an error message such as "Searching for Signal."

I have a 2003 chevysuburan and the radio only works half the time why is that? im not gettin any sound

first determine if the radio is shutting off (do the lights go out) when it quits working, if the lights stay on and only the sound quits, then you most likely have a bad speaker wire. You will have to get your hands up in there and wiggle the wires around that hook to the radio to find which ones or if that is the problem. it could be bad speakers, but it would be unusual for all of them to be bad

It sounds like you might have a bad or loose ground to the radio when you install it in the car. Where did you test the radio to verify that it worked?

I have a 2008 dodge ram came to work this mornining turned my radio on and no sound just channel 184 and cannot change it.

That is the Sirius free 'test' channel. Do you have and pay for Sirius satellite radio service? If not you might try the AM/FM button to return to the band you were used to listening to. If you do pay for the service check to make sure your bill is current and try turning the stereo on and off a couple times. Pause for a moment while the stereo is off before turning back on.

My am radio doesnt work , but my fm does and my sirius does, whats wrong

Hi,

May be your car has an in-glass radio antenna. Because these don't perform as well as mast antennas, there's an antenna amplifier built into the vehicle.

When installing a new head unit, it's necessary to connect the "power antenna" wire in the radio harness. This activates the antenna amplifier. If you leave this disconnected, the result is the problem you're describing.

Since the vehicle doesn't have an actual motorized antenna, many installers overlook the power antenna connection in the harness. Also, after-market adapter harnesses use a blue wire for this function, and your Radio head unit has only a blue/white output.

The answer, then, is to check the back of the radio, and make sure the blue/white wire from the Radio deck is connected to the blue wire in the adapter harness.

Did you know there is a fuse on the back of the radio and one on the amp? Have you checked them? If the radio is working and no ssound it could be the radio, speakers or wiring. In your case it sounds like either the radio or speakers.

How to remove stock radio to install direct connect for sirius radio.

There should be two sets of holes on the sides of the radio that have two holes each. You will need a tool call a ford radio removal tool that you can get at any auto parts store for about 5 bucks. When you get that stick both of them in those holes and push them outward to push the retaining clips in and then pull (with the removal tool) the radio out. Sometimes these radios come right out and sometimes the retaining clips like to be a pain but just stick with it and it will come out.
