Cannot advance date manually when crown is in 1st position on eco citizen ladies watch

When try to change date/day when put crown in first position, it will not allow me to advance it manually when I turn clockwise or counterclockwise - like it is stuck. The date/day changes with time, But I cannot change manually. I hope you can help. I purchased 10/05/2012, and it was working when I first got the watch. It is not now. I set it by instructions, and the date/day did not advance correctly. So, I ended op having to changing by turning time several times to get date/day correct - could not do in 1st position - had to do in 2nd position. Will I be able to do date/day in 1st position manually again (what caused this). Please help. thank you

mcdevito75 here, The crown should be a 2 position crown, try this, pull out the crown as if to set the hands, rotate the hands, (adjust the time) around the dial until you have the right day, Now! push the crown in, Now! slip your finger nail just under the crown and lift the crown to it"s first notch or position, this should allow you to turn the crown and adjust the date, when at the date push the crown back in and your done.

Hi, I don't believe you have actually got it back on(the crown) properly. You will have to take it to a watchmaker to be done correctly. I think your setting problems will go away once the crown is attached to the stem correctly, Michael

How do I manually set my Eco-drive wr200

Pull crown out 1 click to set day/date, set to one day behind actual date... Then, pull crown out an additional click to move hour/minute hands around to set exact date by hour/minute a complete 12-24 hour revolution if necessary to get AM or PM accurate for the proper day/date. :)

I Have a fossil 10 atm watch & the date doesn't change automatically so i change it manually but then half way thought the day it changes the date

Your watch is 12 hours out of step.

The date changes every second time the hour hand passes 12 O'clock.

Your watches' second pass is at midday instead of midnight, so to make it operate correctly, you need to wind it on 12 hours. The date will then change at midnight.

SETTING DATE JUST ROLEX

After you unscrew the crown it is already in winding position. If you pull the crown, it will go to the date setting position. Further pull of crown will set it in time setting position. Try to pull the crown till you get it in correct date setting position and change the desired date. Do not use the date setting between 10pm - 2am, as this can damage date mechanism. The best way is to pull out crown to the time setting position and set the time to 6.30(anytime) and then push the crown in to date setting position and change the date to the previous day's date. Then again pull the crown out to the time setting position and advance hands forwards (clock wise) till hands pass 12.00 (midnight) and the date changes automatically to the desired one, then adjust the time, push the crown fully in and screw the crown on.

Watch

You should be able to pull the crown out 1/2 way and turn the crown clock-wise and you should hear a click and the calender should move one day. Don't change when the hands when the time is between 10 and 2 , just manually move the hands past that time , and re-set afterwards. If that dosn't work let me know ,.There are other types of those watches , but the way I told you is the most common.
