Question about Microsoft Word 2003 for PC

1 Answer

Envelop prints wrong return address

When I type a return address in the appropriate window, the envelop prints an entirely different address. It's not related to the default address since there's nothing entered in the default address. This address is somehow embedded in the system someplace and I can't find it.

Have you checked your inser/auto text to see if the unfamilar return address is coming from there? Or tried saving the return address you want to be inserted as an auto text?

Print labels and envelopes

With the HP ENVY 110 series, you can print on a single envelope, a group of envelopes, or label sheets
designed for inkjet printers.

To print a group of addresses on labels or envelopes

1. Print a test page on plain paper first.
2. Place the test page on top of the label sheet or envelope, and hold both up to the light. Check the spacing for
each block of text. Make adjustments as needed.
3. Load the labels or envelopes into the paper tray.
CAUTION: Do not use envelopes with clasps or windows. They can get stuck in the rollers and cause
paper jams.
4. Slide paper-width guides inward against the stack of labels or envelopes until the guides stop.
5. Select the appropriate options.
• On -Paper/Quality- tab select a Plain paper type.
• Click the [Advanced] button, and select the appropriate envelope size from the Paper Size drop down
menu.
6. Click [OK], and then click [Print] or [OK] in the Print dialog box.

If you print from within a program that DOES have that listed (like M$ Word,) then you don't need the limited printer driver to specify the paper size.

    Printing on a #10 envelope

Go into your Word Document and print from "Tools" then "Letters and Mailings" and click on Envelopes and Labels. Sometime the perimeter isn't defined and it is on there but it's outside the scope of your envelope, especially if the return address isn't in the correct place also. You may even be able to correct it where you are by decreasing the "window" of your typing space, it's just too large.

PIXMA 830 Smudges when printing envelopes

On my MP780, be careful to select the appropriate paper type; I was getting black smudges on the left side of my envelopes until I explicitly set that my paper type was "envelope" from "plain paper".
Another idea is to adjust the "ink drying wait time" to a higher level.
