Try this. Hit Ctrl-Alt-Del twice. It should bring you up to the old way of signing in. Then just change the name on the adminstrator, change password and you're in. It works on XP not sure what OS you're using. If it doesn't work let me know I'll do some more research. If it does work please rate the solution accordingly.

Hey, Here are three methods for you to reset Windows 7 password.

Method three: Using Windows Password Recovery Basic software to recover Windows 7password.
If your satellite is one of computer models that displays a "Password =" prompt when the computer is turned on, even though no power-on password has been set then you'll need to take your computer to one of the Toshiba Authorized Service Providers. If your computer model is included on the list on this link Toshiba BIOS password issue then you can have the password reset free of charge. You might want to call their support line at 1-800-457-7777 or just go straight to any Toshiba ASP and have them reset it. Just make sure that you update your BIOS as soon as it gets fixed as this may happen again.
Try this link for a bios flash. If it doesn't work, then you will need to contact Toshiba support for clearing the bios password, or get her to remember/give it to you. Your other option is replace the motherboard, but if you do that I'd ask for some money back.
Which operating system are you using????????? you could set a password in the BIOS, but as far as a operating system password goes, it would be difficult, at best, to reset a password without being logged in first.....
Passwords are setup when you first recieve the computer. What I suggest, is that you log in as administrator (at login screen hit ctrl+alt+del) administrator as logon, with no password. IF it says account disabled, then reboot to safemode, and log in as administrator (then it will take the administrator login *with no password) - once in, you can change users passwords *which is your logon*.
