How do u program garage door opener for chevy impala 2003

If it wasn't a factory remote it is common for them to have problems.

Hi, hopefully the 2005 manual will work for you. I does have instructions for programming the opener. Sorry, I don't have the 2001 manual.

Press and hold the 2 outer buttons on the homelink until the light goes out or flashes rapidly. Then hold the button down on the remote and the button on the homelink you want to operate the door. Then if your opener has a colored learn button, press the colored learn button on the opener head and then press the homelink button up to 5 times depending on the brand. If it has dip switches ship this step. Your homelink should be programmed.

ther should be a button on the door opener that you push ,it will light up and scat over to your car and just push the button. thats it, you car is the same as the remote its just got on heck of a big battery

raise the window.

remove door pannel and water shield.

remove the plastic clips that secures the lock cylinder to the latch rod.

slide the lock cylinder clip out of engagement and remove lock cylinder from the door

disengage the plastic clip that secures the outside handle to latch rod.

remove bolts

then pull it out of door

Have you checked the back bulb(s)? If so it must be a door switch problem, check if power is reaching the lights and if not do you have power at the door switch if you do its the door switch if not its a fuse. This should Fixya.
