Question about HP Scanjet 5590 Flatbed Scanner
WHEN USING THE DOCUMENT FEEDER THE PAPER IS NOT BEING PULLED IN STRAIGHT THEREFORE IS JAMS
The majority of paper jams are caused by obstructions like insects or torn bits of paper, staples etc. Clean the paper path, rollers etc. If the ADF jams continuously, lift the lid and check if the removable paper guide is placed correctly to feed the output tray. Had both these issues today, and this 5590 now works 100%.

Try and clean the rubber rollers with Isopropyl alcohol. Do not use any solvents.
