First you must find your model number of the unit located on the back of your unit. Once you have found it go to Replacement Remotes website and search the search box for your model. The remote will pull right up. After you purchase and receive the remote you will not have to do any programming of the remote because they get you original equipment remotes that will work right out of the package.

Toshiba Color Television 36A43 Lost the original remote and purchased a universal remote. Tried to program using all four systems to no avail. I require the universal remote code to program for this TV

Place one remote on table, place other (new) remote facing old remote, then push the program button on new remote, remotes IR screens has to face each other to make this work. and if you've tried to program the new one before, you will have to clear the new ones memory first. Good luck.

The codes change with the remote's brand and only some models of the same brand share codes, so you need to use the codes that come with the new remote.

Trying to replace the remotes for my car alarm

it is possible, you need to find an audiovox retailer first. then you MUST know the model number of your specific alarm. then retailer or installer can find you new compatible remotes, but you or them will have to find manual for your model to get your alarm"brain" to properly "learn" the new remotes. it is always a very specific procedure, not universal to all alarms.
