SOURCE: Jenn-Air Dishwasher Handle Loose
This worked perfectly for me. Follow the link that shows you which two screws to take out. It is one screw on each side of the inside door frame. One on the left and one on the right (not the top one, but the second one down). Then pull the door handle upward about 2 inches and the whole washer face comes up. Jiggle it off and tighten the handle. Only tricky thing is that you need a star screwdriver.
The problem I had in the beginning was that I took off the middle screws on top (cause that's what it looks like in the picture), but it's actually the side screws. Don't take them all off - just the two you need.

We had similar type of problem (as well as residual water always left in bottom) and after pulling out the dishwasher, found that the drainage tube was incorrectly installed by contractor. It was laying on the floor behind it with a only a slight rise to the garbage disposal inlet. I suspect this contributed to sewer odors as well a water back flowing into the dishwasher. I disconnected drainage tube so that it went up 24+" and then connected to garbage disposal (creates a loop that blocks sewer odors and back flow conditions). I also cleared out the filter at bottom of inside the dishwasher. The Use & Care Guide suggested using baking soda in China/Crystal mode for 10 minutes, opening the front door and letting it sit overnight. I repeated that for 3 nights and it did clear up the remaining odor. Don't know if this will help your issue or not. Good luck!

The problem is hard water. www.dishwasherfilter.com has a great new product out that will solve this problem once and for all. It filters the water entering your dishwasher and leaves your dishes looking amazing. They even have a money guarantee if you are not completely satisfied. Check it out. You will love it.

are u hearing any metal grinding sounds or is it making a noise like something is breaking theres a pump located down the bottom of the unit and depending on how you wash your dishes for example if you wash them before you insert them into the dishwasher or if you put them in with food on them would consitute your next course of action if you do insert them with food on them then you would need to check the pump and the chopper area you might want to call a technician if the problem persists. hope this helps try running it through the full cycle if tere is something wrong you will get an error code
