Question about RCA D52W23 52" HDTV CRT TV
I just read your post about this problem, this is !00% the problem i'm having....except with a twist....this was a problem i was having, then all of a sudden is stopped powering the screen on all together...does is still sound like the same kind of issue? Before the screen turned off....it was word for word the same problem, i could have sworn you were describing my TV, but now the screen doesnt turn on, and only the light on the power button flashes for a minute, then everything shuts off.
I dont want to replace parts without know for sure, any help would be appreciated, trying to get it working by new years...we have family coming over, and my backup 23in tv just isnt cutting it, lol.
Ok originally you had a convergence problem? now you have a shutdown condition. my first instinct is check ribbon connectors. also to reset the processor leave it off for 30 min. do you hear any sounds chirps, static. This is a shutdown condition. the processor is getting power and is detecting a fault... It can be one of about 20 conditions. it might be the flyback and the horizontal output transistor. there is a flat cable that runs from the green cuicit board to the front center crt board. if that is loose it might shutdown. In the shop we have a computer that reads errors codes much like a automobile. but like i said since it came on before eaither a connector has come loose or something got shorted
