Hi...

Check to see that ALL the speakers are connected. To the right places too.
Can you get any sound out of the headphone jack?
Make sure there isnt a tape monitor function selected. That will kill all the inputs.

If you still get no output after those checks , I'd say a component or two went good-bye in the power amp section of your unit

How can I connect my I pod Touch to my Denon AVR 1803 reveiver?

Connect the 3.5mm cable to the iPod headphone output and the two RCA plugs into any unused analogue audio input on the Denon AVR 1803. Then choose the appropriate input on the Denon, press play and enjoy the music. Be careful about volume. Start with the volume on the iPad low and adjust to suit.
Cheers, Don.

Denon 1910 Zone 2 no sound

Typically, Zone 2 is for a different program than the one you're hearing in the main listening room. You can choose any source for Zone 2 EXCEPT a digital one.

Shuts off then red light indicator flashes, disconnected all speakers but still wont work

Hi, this is a power board issue. remove the cover and make sure that this unit doesn't have blow fuse. if the fuse is fine, you will then need to replace the integrated power/ main board.

Receiver shuts off when trying to play a dvd in the dvd player.

Just a hunch - what's drawing power from the two convenience outlets on the back of the receiver. They're only rated for 120watts, that is, nothing like a TV.

I doubt this has anything to do with the source you're playing (unless you have it cranked to "11"). If I understand you correctly you said turning the TV on and off causes the problem. There's a clue.

I have no sound from amp wen i have the tv on.the dvd sound is ok

You have to also connect the audio from the devices to the Denon. Unless you are using HDMI I would use the Denon as the audio / video switcher and the plasma as a monitor only (video lcable from Denon to plasma or you can connect all your devices to the plasma audio / video and use the audio out from the plasma to an input on the Denon (Aux, Video or VCR

AVR 1803

There is a thermal non resetable fuse built into transformers primary. There are two leads from a connector that go to Primary of transformer they may be yellow and white leads. If there is no continuity between these two wires Transformer is defective. With Power unplugged pull connector and measure with ohmmeter. Fuse is buried pretty deep inside transformer and some technicians can get it out and replace it but it is not easy.

Denon AVR-1803 shuts down

I am a Tech in Michigan and have worked on lots and Lots of Denon AV Receivers. These units have Protection circuits for Overcurrent, Dc Protect, 15v Regulator inbalance, Rail Voltage Inbalance, Low Ac Voltage, Low Standby Voltage and Thermal Protection just to name the ones I remember. My guess is you Probably have either Poor Intermittent solder connections or Amp is not Ventillating Properly. Make sure you leave room above Receiver to Vent and You are using no Less then 6 ohm speaker Impedance per ch. Refer to Speaker Impedance chart on back panel . kstahl65@att.net

Audio problem when connecting to a PS3

It seems the Denon and PS3 don't play nice together on DTS. If you take off the DTS setting, then the PS3 will use DD and you'll get surround for games and movies.
