Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console

Cant connect ALL instruments/mic to PS2 Guitar Hero World Tour?!

I have the slim PS2 (with 2 controller ports and 2 USB ports) and was trying to connect the 2 guitars, drums and mic, but unfortunately i am one port short. The drums use 1 USB port, each guitar needs a controller port, and the mic takes up both a USB port AND a controller port (no controls on the mic itself). That leaves me short one controller input. Did the original PS2 have extra ports? I know 4 other people who have PS2s, and they all have the slim model. Any ideas? Are there adaptors out there to add extra ports?

Yes, you can buy a PS2 Multitap Adapter. I had the same issue and just picked a mulittap adapter up on eBay for $8.50

How to you just play the microphone and guitar on world tour

On Guitar Hero: World Tour you can play using the microphone and guitar by selecting two profiles and choose the band option in either career mode, quickplay or online. A single profile cannot be used for both microphone and guitar at the same time.

GHWT Microphone Use...

You use an analog controller at first. This helps get the ps2 to acknowledge the mic. We also tapped the top of the mic.

The guitar hero world tour does not play on my playstatin 2

We had the same problem with Guitar Hero World Tour for PS2. We have an older fat PS2 that would play all of our other games but this one. I tried changing the settings to fast/smooth, changed the diagnostics, still didn't work. Finally, I took The PS2 apart, blew out the dust, cleaned the laser lens with a qtip and rubbing alcohol, dried it gently with a dry q-tip, and the game works!!
